The German book/novel can be found here: http://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-spielzeug/carcassonne-buch/k0c23 for €8
They do say "collection only" but I've found most people willing to put small items in the post.

Right now there are about 400 entries for 'Carcassonne' of various flavours (including several Cities in wooden boxes, btw, at €50 / €65) but NO Wheels of Fortune.  There is one Wheel of fortune book (novel?) though.

I bought a German version new in shrink just recently through the "ebay kleinanzeigen" (small ads) in Germany for (IIRC) €10.  (www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de).  There's no alert facility (I think) but it's worth popping in there very now and then to see what's on offer.  Things don't seem to sell terribly quickly - I've had a few bargains there.

ahhh, well - you see here (over onthe left, under my name)  I am described as a 'cottager' and I too know nothing about it!  :yellow-meeple:

I am planning to write a review (well, add some notes  to the pictures) but in the meantime you can find some pictures here https://www.dropbox.com/sh/75a9zgeztx0h6tw/AABqiPF5dpciNVg8mdJxynYRa?dl=0.  I have to re-do them when my hands don't shake so much (or find my tripod) and adjust the lighting, but hopefully they are useful for the moment.

The containers you can see on the RHS of the box are variously sized as follows (all dimensions cm, as accurate as my poor eyesight allows)
7.8 x 7.8x5.8 deep
4.3 x 7.7x5.8 deep
4.8 x 3.6x2.2 deep (4 off, stacked 2+2)
7.8 x 3.8x5.8 deep
6.0 x 7.8x5.8 deep

The notches on the tile boxes are spaced with centres approximately as follows (in cm):
0 (inside box face), 2.0, 2.95, 4.3, 5.6, 6.45, 7.8, 9.1, 10, 10.9, 12.2, 13.1, 14, 15.25, 16.6, 17.5, 18.6 (end box face).  These are asymmetrically spaced along the box length.

As supplied, you can't completely adopt a 'divider in front' or 'divider behind' strategy as there is not a notch at the very end of each box.   I added a notch at the very end so I could have all my dividers behind the tiles to which they refer.

The box will hold ALL expansions for Carcassonne (after some fiddling to get everything in the right place) with a little bit of space left over for some fan expansions etc (maybe 30 tiles or so).

Sorry if this post is a little incoherent, I have yet to work out the formatting codes and how to embed images.

PS: I wonder if the person who defined membership levels knows what 'cottaging' is in the UK and what sort of things a 'cottager' gets up to :)

I'm going to do a 'review' for the seller so I will post it here too.

Where would be the best place to post?  Also,  a tip on how to include images would be helpful.

Cheerio!

Collection double-checked while trying to fit everything* into the 'Basically Wooden' Big Box (my Xmas present to myself; Black Friday deals didn't count as Xmas presents!) .  Those three - Princess, Tower, Catapult - (oh, and The Cathars and the Russian tiles of course!) seem to be the only ones I'm missing.

*With a lot of attempts at repositioning, everything DOES fit - but I found I had to create new notches right at the end of each inner box.  The space lost by having the tabs 'indented' meant I could not fit everything.  Some things fit very tightly in their space, but it is entirely useable.  the BW Box replaces a cutlery canteen with foam core insert which did not hold everything!

BTW: the 'full set' of tabs for the Big Box comes with tabs for the various Carcassonne varieties and spin-offs such as Ark of the Covenant, South Seas, Winter Edition, Castle, H&G, New World and so on.  For 'just' a mega-carcassonne box you'll have about 12 tabs left over.   The way I have loaded the box means there's still space for maybe 30 tiles for fan-expansions and the like.

I want to buy the Tower, Catapult & Princess & Dragon expansions.  The language doesn't matter and they don't have to be boxed, but they should be in very good condition.  I'd prefer to buy from one seller to save on postage :)

Sensible offers please (i.e. don't ask for more than they can/could be bought for from Cundco!).  I'm in the UK for postage, but posting to Germany is also possible if it means a big saving.

Thanks!

They seem to be back in stock, so if there's another bulk order -I'm in for 2 copies!

England = today Thu 20th (probably sent in 2nd batch)

MANY THANKS!
