hehe, those are big wishes @Snearone  ;D

I am ending my vacation and the spare time I have is limited; however, I can add your idea to my ToDo list. It is not complicated to implement what you said, but it requires time.

Thanks for the feedback!

@Bumsakalaka  is right, dealing with different type of devices is tricky. I modified my code to allow:

1. Double click (or double tap) increases 50 points
2. Triple click (or double tap) decreases 50 points

A new thing that I implemented is the way to remove other meeples based on the parameters in the URL.

#Default 5 basic colors

#Six players

#A given number of players and colors separated by commas (for example  :pink-meeple: :yellow-meeple: :red-meeple:),yellow,red

Thanks for the feedback and hope this thing is useful in some way hehe

I am in too  :red-meeple:

This is wonderful. Would it be possible to add a pinkmeeple.png file :pink-meeple: in the /img/ folder? No need to actually add it to the board I'll just replace the red one using Chrome inspector

Sure, I just added the image "pinkmeeple.png" If I find some spare time, I will try some improvement to this digital score board, including the detail mentioned by @Bumsakalaka

If I understood correctly,  here is one I made some time ago. It is incredibly primitive  ;D . Mainly,  I use it for my solo games with the demo-spiel and fur2 edition.  Works fine on smartphones and tablets.

Maybe it is useful for you

Still, it is a little expensive, @Mikeagan. The last time we ordered something in batch, the shipping within the US was around $9 plus those triangular tubes sold by USPS.

I contacted cundco asking for a different shipping company or different rates, but they argued that the high price is because of the insurance and tracking. This is not completely true based on my experience. When I bought my UK and Benelux maps, the package was missing, and DHL just said: "we cannot do anything about it."

Maybe trying to contact again cundco to push a little to change the delivery company could be better in the long run.

I just wish I'd had more creative input than just trying different drop-down menus until something pretty appeared!  ;D

Nothing wrong with that. I figured that it would be a way to fill out the complete set of tiles if there weren't enough "alternative" ideas. A couple of my submissions to Willem have used a similar approach, messing around with the Effects menus in Photoshop. The "Bold Strokes" one looks good.

Another option that could be interesting is to use some of the AI style-transfer software (e.g: They produce very cool results (sometimes  ;D).

I think Chmura is right.  Here is an image posted by Maksym Tkachenko  around one year ago. However,  I don't  know if Maksym is member of the Czech forum, maybe.

Good news - I'm seeing just the Ukraine map (not the tile) available to order on
Bad news - shipping to the US is quoted as 50 Euro.

One or  five maps have the same shipping cost; however,  as I mentioned some months ago in another post, the distribution and shipping here in the US could make it a bit extra pricey :(  ($11 split intl shipping +  $10-14 shipping and package within the US + $9 map and taxes)  :-\

Hey @Scott have you thought about tiles distribution? I was a little lazy and just picked Base + River and 4 abbeys and done.

General / Крепость - An unlicensed variant/spin-off

Hi all, in the past weeks, I have been checking deep into the Cyrillic side of Carcassonne, and I wanted to share with you something interesting. An unlicensed variant/spin-off of Carcassonne in Ukraine.

LaPorxada found multiple editions of Ukrainian versions of the game. All of them are notoriously unlicensed, but they follow the path of the Iranian version I posted some months ago. I mean, they do not use any HiG material; they change the title and some names to fit better into their cultural context.

However, this post is not about those versions. They are cool, but most are off print years ago. This post is about one edition that does not include meeple nor scoreboard, but instead contains a 10x8 blue grid and new mechanics.

LaPorxada and I were chatting about it, translating the rules, and checking some details, and I found it interesting; it is more like a competitive puzzle. Maybe there are some similar variants in the forum (I did not find any).
The name of this edition is a generic name shared by all other Ukrainian unlicensed editions, Крепость.

The game goes as follows (remember, no meeples are involved):
1. First player draw the first tile (no starter tile, apparently) and puts it in any square of the blue grid.
2. By turns, each player draws a tile and puts the tile in the blue grid. I believe that after the first tile, players must place the tile adjacent to an existing tile in the good Carcassonne way.
3. If the tile cannot be deployed, the player puts it into their reserve and draw another tile. This step must be repeated up to two more times (three tiles max per turn). The active player passes if none of the three tiles can be placed.
4. At the end of the game, the player with fewer tiles in their hand (or reserve) is the winner. In the case of a tie, a minor break match is played, but using a 6x5 grid space.

Things to take into consideration:
1. There are four new wild tiles (big coat of arms tiles); they can fit without following the rules of edges-matching (kind of like the Abbey)
2. Cities must not finish on the edge of the grid (opposite of Carcassonne maps).
3. Tile distribution is quite different compared with the Base game + River. But still, it is playable as a variant.

wild44 (Abbey tiles)

This game was produced and distributed by local companies; there are some traces of it on the Internet.

Let me know if some of you are fluent in Ukrainian to double-check the rules, or if some of you have more info about this.

Tiles look detailed, but honestly, I do not get the logic behind this conversion.
HiG has tons of other minis to convert to the capriciously-clipped-cities (C3 for short) edition. That would attract more people to buy their things. For example, if they convert The Plague, even people that do not like the "counterfeit look" of the C3 edition would buy them.
