New version of the award-winning game. Now in 3D. Includes improved AI, 3D landscape and new exclusive features. A PLACEMENT GAME WHERE YOU CREATE LANDSCAPES, CONQUER TERRITORIES AND EARN POINTS Discover the award-winning Carcassonne game in which players draw and place tiles to build a medieval city. Place your cities, roads, monasteries or meadows to enlarge your landscape and then your followers, the followers. Knights, robbers or pawns... Each follower will help you control your territory and score points. But be careful, you'll need your best strategies and tactics to maximize your points! Place your tiles and followers wisely to stop your opponents and win the game.

I have questions.

Three base games will make for a longer game. I suspect it won’t be quite as interesting as playing with multiple copies of the same expansion. Adding more copies of the base game can be helpful in mega Carcassonne games to balance out all the expansion tiles.

The worst game I played is my first BGA game in the tournament which is currently happening. I am not an aggressive player so I was very unprepared for a 1-on-1 game, and I did not get the tiles I needed when I needed them.

I've never played any of the other version of Love Letter, but understand they often have slightly different rules (or better said, other effects on the cards)?
I have the standard old edition, and have played the deluxe one, but have recently learned from @Scott that the new edition has new characters again!
I’ve also discovered on BGG that the Japanese creator of the game has added even more characters to his second edition. Not sure what they do and no word on when or if these will make their way to English editions.

I don’t have any preference.

I think most of us are happy enough just to have one of everything, or as close to one of everything as we can get. Only a few people feel the need to collect every permutation.

My particular weakness is when I run out of official things to buy, I start looking for unofficial things to buy, which sometimes means designing things myself.

Yeah, I’m wondering if that would be unfair to the others?

It took so long for these to arrive that I almost forgot about ordering them. I found the Chinese factory that makes these magnets for the souvenir shops and ordered direct.

I wonder about the potential scenario where a player might land on a particular dark space, move forward on a later turn, then move backwards on a later turn, and then move forward once again to land on the same dark space. Would that lead to unbalance?

I took my wife on holiday last week and had the post office hold my mail. The postwoman had a ton of stuff for us this morning, including these three items!

I went slightly overboard on this knock-off “Le Sac”. The artwork is very blurry, but I think it might be large enough for a game of MegaCarc. I might reorder in a smaller size because this thing is just too unwieldy for actual use.

I found an English translation of this book that was in the public domain and ordered a print-on-demand facsimile from Amazon. I’ve only skimmed it, but the translation quality seems to be better than Google or DeepL.

And of course I saved the best for last! What seemed like a good idea, then turned into a nightmare, was briefly abandoned, and then resurrected because the guys on Discord wouldn’t let me give up. The artwork got cropped a bit, but man is it sharp! The squares are plenty big to hold tiles, and the whole is just slightly smaller than the official maps so it fits with them in the portfolio case, though I got this printed on neoprene so it could be rolled up instead. From that perspective, it’s actually nicer than the official maps.

I liked the look of this so much that I had to pick one up for myself.

On the back it reads: “One should not die without having seen Carcassonne.”

If there was, it would have been posted here.

@Scott, love the banknotes!  Expansion rules forthcoming?… >:D
I don’t think so. Awarding a player 50 or 100 bonus points for playing a banknote seems too overpowered.

My emergency banknote collection is now complete.

My custom Fortress Challenge playmat for playing the Ukrainian variant arrived today. Although printed on neoprene, the same as a mousepad, the surface is rougher because this is technically a doormat for wiping your feet on, so all of the glorious detail of my original artwork has been completely lost. :(
