Given the lack of rules clarifications it is impossible not to use house rules unless you have a Meepledrone degree in all things Carc.

Fair point, so not playing with the Ferries would be the plan.  There are many other expansions it can be paired with.

Congrats Leven, Top Elo won the tournament.

I believe that Han Shot First is known as Riker on CarcCentral.

Base game only. Game is too short, not enough variety given all the extra boxes of tiles I have, so our face to face games have 1 major expansion and 2 or 3 smaller expansions. Not too short, not too long either.

When we have played with a double set of a single expansion, we used the extra tiles (and tokens) but not the extra meeples/builders/pigs.

We gave the 10 points for the majority of tokens, we didn't double up.

The improved tile variation over the base game is a big positive for me. The wheel adds more options for when you get yet another road tile.

I tend to add the 10 gq mini expansion non-river tiles to give more variety without adding rule complexity.

A definite tactic is to leave a meeple on a low level road to try to limit losses from the plague, as is scoring opposing meeples that are using this tactic to up impact of plague to your opponents.

If you enjoy a mega game with loads of tiles the WoF can be a good start tile as opposed to The 12 City tiles. The extra option of using the wheel has to be carefully thought out as the numbered tiles come out less frequently. Lots of extra points will be scored and the opportunity to reclaim a rashly placed meeple via the plague.

Inns and cathedrals and traders and builders work well for sure.  Magic portals can be used instead of the flyers, better tiles, but risk element removed.

Finally, if you like a smallish game with oodles of points, try with just Under the Big Top expansion!

Hi Lewis, Sorry to hear that you are selling up, but totally understand why.

I am interested in - Ark of the Covenant with added ornate gold plastic Ark for added goodness. Nordic edition, pristine condition just opened to pop in the Ark.

Let me know if it is still available and how much you are asking.  I am UK based.

24 members currently on BGA - If all agreed to play in a Round Robin tournament - 23 concurrent games would be mind-blowingly epic!

I would say, just like the tournaments before, we go down the list and do them all at some point.
Does BGA allow both real-time mode and turn-based mode?

Totally agree....except missing out base game only!

BGA does support both, these tournaments would be turn-based.
