It's too bad they didn't make things easy for players who wish to omit these 13 tiles by watermarking them with a "C" or something. Then it would have been simple to play in just about any configuration. You could start with all the non-watermarked tiles, then add the wheel watermarks if you want to play WoF, or add the "C" watermarks if you want to play base Carcassonne. | (https://s20.postimg.cc/oyrytr7zx/C-watermark.png) |
Food for thought, as I would say the tile is not a copy from I&C, not from GQ, not from T&B, but a new tile on its own :P
Nice little detail:
I got the dutch version of the stand-alone in yesterday, and the rulebook states that there are 72 tiles, one of them would have a black back as a starting tile. In the tile configuration this is not shown.
There is (of course) no 'starting' tile among the tiles, but the configuration as Bill has posted earlier :P
This is the first of a series of topics I hope to create to start some conversations about various aspects of updating the CAR from 7.4 to 7.5. (They may come out in kind of a weird order, sorry.)@Just a Bill: When the completion of the work on the ver. 7.5 of CAR is expected? :-X Sorry for my straight question.
I guess you could say the "blessing and the curse" of my involvement is that I'm pretty thorough, but also quite slow.
I guess you could say the "blessing and the curse" of my involvement is that I'm pretty thorough, but also quite slow.My question was not relevant to the need to speed up writing a new version of the rules. It's not easy to make them up.
Will the CAR update include the rules for 2.0? ie. any expansion rule amendments, UtBT, Watchtowers, Markets of Leipzig, Das Fest, etc?
I got a notification today that kettlefish had stickied this topic, which made me realize that all of the images were hidden thanks to postimg.org losing control of that domain. So I just updated all the links to point to postimg.cc, which fixed that. My apologies for the inconvenience.I write with the tablet keyboard today (not a real one) and perhaps my fingers landet onto the wrong space.
