Title: Android Scoring Application
Post by: rfielder on March 05, 2014, 07:17:17 PM
I did a search for the Carcassonne Scoreboard, and did not find any references in previous messages.

Is anyone using this Android application for scoring?  We have been using it for a while, and it works very well.  It even knows about expansion packs, and adjusts itself appropriately.

And, it is free....always a good thing!  Works well on a tablet or a smartphone.  Unfortunately, no iOS version, so Apple products are not included.

I've tried with the following apps, :
- Carcassonne Scoreboard.
- Carcassonne Scorer.
- KeepScore.
- iMeeple.
- Imbascorer.

The first 3 apps are better than the others.

My sister bought a tablet few days ago and who knows? We might try one of these with our next MegaCarc. :D

Personally, I tend to drift off with all sort of ideas. Like how you can use the tablet to play the computer version of Carcassonne and then maybe continue the game with the board game tiles from the tablet outwards if the size matches.  ;D

We are still using Carcassonne Scoreboard, but it does not know about River II and the pig heard.   Guess we will have to experiment with others to see who can provide a complete scoring solution.

I did try to contact the author of Scoreboard, but have not received a response.   Given the app's age, I suspect it is a sunset product.....
