Rich and I played our game. Final result: Rich_The_Fish 195 - 245 Adrornalin

It was always even, until I draw the needed tile to complete the big cathedral city (69pts). But victory still was not mine because Rich draw a cloister with road to win the farm in the middle (21pts) with his double meeple he placed very soon and he enlarged the farm in the north-east to the biggest farm (32pts). But I could manage to hold the lead with some roads with inns and with some small cities.

There were two hard decisions I had to make. The first was that I decided to connect my big part of cathedral city (with my builder) to his small part of normal city (with his builder). Normally not a wise decision, but I feared he could block my city part with cathedral and I knew I will have more meeple left in the ongoing game. In the end it worked out. Second hard decision didnt work out. As I was 2 to 1 in front on the farm in the middle and his double meeple still was not connected, I blocked another one of his meeple from joining the farm. I hoped he wouldnt draw the second cloister with road, but in the end with this blocking I closed the farm and destroyed my own chance to get onto it myself. Additionally I didnt expect that Rich can enlarge the farm with this blocked meeple that much, so I didnt care enough about that.

There is a mistake: in the latest game Adrornalin was the winner not Rich_The_Fish.

The game was decided a few tiles before the end when it became obvious that Rich could not finish his cathedral city any more. (To be exact, he could have finished it but only by joining my meeple too.)
I had more luck with my own cathedral city, and I was especially lucky in terms of the trade goods (all my collected goods were situated within my own cities, so I didn't have to finish any of my opponent's cities to collect them; that is quite fortunate).

That's the thing. You did win deservingly, but I wanted to give you a proper game. This was a walkover. And thank you.

In the UK we have a TV quiz show called "Pointless". If you were on that, 0 points would be a really good score!

Good game vs. Rich! Not as easy as the final score might indicate... it was very tight for at least the first half then he missed an occasion to trap both my builder and big meeple. Towards the end he didn't have enough guys to battle for the main field, but still he fought really well! Thanks for the game Rich!

That should be enough to qualify for the knock-out stage (maybe 1st place?)
