First off-awesome work again Decar.

Second, are discarded tiles (after hold/bust) revealed? Or do tiles just stay in their final state, be that face up or down?

Seems like a significant bit of free/hidden info in either case so worth clarifying.

Just did my test run on Abbots Walk to figure out the workings. Really excited to play this properly tomorrow evening. Thanks Decar!

Official Rules / Re: Watchtowers questions

Maybe a ridiculous question: where can I see the English rules for this expansion guys? Can't seem to locate any translation
Decar posted them here.

Ah, thanks.

I think the intent of the rules are clear enough (though are indeed open to some interpretation of people want to argue)

1. When placing a watch tower tile, to gain the scoring of the watch tower you must place a meeple on a road or city.
2. When a city or road connected to the watchtower is completed, if a meeple is on that feature and on the watchtower tile, then watchtower scoring happens, followed by scoring of that feature.

Therefore, each watchtower only scores once, and always by the person who placed the tile.

I think they can easily be cut off by opponents (e.g. next opponent finishes the road I started that is on the watchtower tile, and halts any plans), so aren't open to much abuse unless opponents completely ignore what you're doing.

It's a very important year for Carcassonne, so I think there will be more added to this list in September, but so far the announcements have been for:

The new around-the-world spin off:  The Amazonas.
A new mini expansion : The watch tower

The new star wars expansions and Abbey and Mayor are already available.
Speculation there will also be:  A new Big Box for the new artwork.  The Japanese monasteries.
You'll miss the gathering on Thursday night unfortunately.
No doubt there will be a gift box with a spiel tile like the previous 2 years.

Are other and previous mini expansions usually available too?
I literally have no idea what to expect: I've never considered it an option to attend but it's kinda fell into my lap this year.

Hi Guys, what can I expect in terms of Carc at Essen? First time attendee, and only there for one day (either Friday or Saturday, don't know yet) and want to make sure I can pick up/see whatever I can.

154 and 137! We have a new leader!

Myself and my wife really enjoying this. Both love carcassone but don't have the time as much at the moment. So quick, so small, so addictive! Love it! Thanks for this.
