Nooot absolutely not  ::) ;D

Spielbox is not going to reprint what it has already released. In any case, it will publish new mini-expansions. The minis of spielbox is something exclusive and unrepeatable.

Unlikely, as the rights for the expansion are not with HiG, but with Spielbox.
As Spielbox has now released an expansion in the new art, there's a slight chance, but I wouldn't bet on it
But if it's in the new art it isn't a repeat of what they have already done.

Interesting vision. Personally the series 'around the world' doesn't convince me in general (amazonas and south seas are the reason).

Yes!! I thought the same too hahahahaa

- Ark of the covenant (not played)
-The discovery
-A new world

This is funny - you must really dislike the two below the one you haven't played  ;)

We have played a couple of games with this new spin off, and we like it very much!
We are still getting used to the idea of the tokens, to balance between getting them and using them, but we like it :)
It might be up there with South Seas and Amazonas for us, which are our favourites :)
For me better than South seas and amazonas. Goldrush it's great too!

Has anyone played already? What impression do you have? I have already played several games and I have to say that it is the spin off of the series around the world that I like the most.  :D

I love the Carcassonne spin-offs. They all have their charm. Except for seas of south seas and amazonas that both the theme and the mechanics I don't like very much. Personally following the medieval theme I stay with The city and The castle. I think I would do two rankings based on the decade.
2000-2010:
-The city
-The castle
-Ark of the covenant
-Hunters and gatherers
-A new world
-The discovery

2010-Present:
-Star Wars
-Over the hill and dale
-Safari
-Goldrush
-Amazonas
-South seas

That's all about!!  :(y)  ;)

I see what you are saying but No one was advertising this.  The original poster of this and various other similar things over the years is drawing our attention to something Carcassonne related in case us fans are interested.  It would be different if the seller comes on here selling something illegal.

Ultimately I strongly believe consumers owe nothing to commercial sellers - they have created a product we like And we have given them our money.  It is clear that retailers/manufacturers simply want to make money and that is fine.  But I don't think we fans should be policing very small time sellers.  If hig wants to stop them selling then they will.

When they published that the "exclusive" edition was already available, I sent an email to HiG to ask if the content was exclusive or a normal basic game. And they replied me that normal. The price was high due to the labor for the box. They tried to reduce it as much as possible but could not lower it further. It is sad that for example Catan has an exclusive version of its components much more attractive and better for a lot less money. For me, money is not a problem, I could buy it, but evaluating the exclusivity it offers and what it really is, I can order something similar in a traditional bookbinder shop for a lot less money, even the board for points. I still really expect an exclusive edition of design tiles and meeples from HiG. Maybe for the 20th anniversary? Who knows...

I guess if someone was to buy it, he already did, anyway, here is some photos of the piece I have received recently. It is all about looks, so will not comment much. If you have questions, fire away. I just have to tell you that opening is really awkward.

With that mentality you will lose many things in life. As a collector of Carcassonne, I am interested in everything. I've been looking for one entirely of wood for some time. If HyG does not do it or someone else I would commission it to a carpentry shop to do it to me. What this person does can be done by anyone in this forum if you go to a specialized carpentry shop and you entrust it. Or if someone makes a magnetic carcassonne or we order it from a specialized store or we when go to a printer for our modified fake tiles using images that are copyrighted. Just because there is money is illegal? Sure? At the ethical level, everything would be illegal, let's not be hypocrites. Then we are all illegal or what? Open a little the mind that we are in the 21st century.

but HiG are choosing their battles, this shop doesn't have a CnD in place.  HiG is a small company itself.  I'd also argue that we did X because another person was doing X and you didn't or haven't tried to stop them could be grounds for a defence, assuming they could show HiG was aware of it.  I don't know any examples of this though.
Exactly! :(y)
In my view it is unacceptably  to SELL such things without the Copyright agreement with HiG. Crafter could make the game for himself, he might present it to somebody, but not sell. The good example of such crafting is giant tiles-coasters, there was no problem for crafter to take the permission from HiG and sell the goods without any questions.
And it is not good to advertise illegal "Carcassonne" games on Carcassonne phorum. I'd delete the link and the photo from this topic.

hahahahha true!  :'(

That's why I say. Surely all of us already have it here. No?

Try saying this to the people who will pay a fortune for 10+ year old expansions on eBay!
