General / Monastery Completionism

As my completionism continues to take turns through never ending corridors of the rabbit hole, I feel I may have finally hit the end of one of the paths!

Thanks to The-Edge I was able to obtain a 999 Games version of De Klooster!

Can anyone confirm whether or not I am missing another version? The only thing I can think of is if the Japanese Temples that came in the base Japanese game is different (I consider major color variations as different).

The Marketplace / Dice Game Giveaway Contest

Greetings everyone!

I have a spare Carcassonne Dice Game that I would like to give away. To make it fun, the giveaway will be a contest!

To win you must be the first person to guess my (current) favorite Carcassonne expansion.

Rules and info:
1) One guess per 24 hours. This will give as many members across the globe a chance to play.
2) For this contest, "expansion" refers to any officially released add on that can be played with the C1 and/or C2 base game. In other words, it could be a single tile, a min-expansion, a full sized expansion, or anything in between. It does not include spin-offs or fan expansions.
3) The Dice Game is "new", however, it does have some shelf wear. Especially on the bottom. Please see the pictures.
4) I will ship at my cost up to $20 USD. If it costs more than that, I ask that you be willing to pay the difference.
5) I have taken a picture with the winning expansion name and the time and date for verification. I will post it when we have a winner.

I ended up with an extra set of "Japanese Buildings" (spent an arm and a leg right before Cundco dropped the Easter sale ). It is still sealed.

I would like to offer it for trade. I am open to most any thing related to the world of Carcassone (C1, C2, expansions, game pieces, oddities, gear, stand alones, etc). However, here is a list of items I am still looking to add to my collection and would jump to trade for:

- Bonusplättchen Spiel 2018
- Halb so wild II
- Die Kornkreise I

Is there anyway to get a copy of the original Winter PnP anymore? I'm assuming it is just a file. If so, can said file be shared, or is that a "no no"?

Edit: I have found what I was wanting to buy.

I have searched the internet this past week trying to find a new Winter Edition (with the River) that will ship to the US with no luck.

Would anyone in the great land of Germany be kind enough to purchase one and send it to me? I am willing to offer an additional 15 Euro over the total cost of the game and shipping. I know of at least two on Ebay that are available, but will not ship to USA. I would prefer to pay with PayPal.

General / Down the C1 Rabbit Hole

So, as I stated before in a previous post, I was not planning to expand into the C1 world. I started playing right when C2 came out and just kept with that..up until recently (I must admit, I'm really liking the old art style. I find it appealing to the eyes while not as busy as C2).

I bought a copy of the C1 base game and decided to track down the River 1 and 2 as that is a must for most of our games. While doing so, I ended up coming across a Big Box 3 with many extras for $190 USD. Considering they generally sell on Ebay for $100-200 without extras, I jumped on it!

It arrived today and is in pristine shape! Very happy to have picked up "Der Tunnel' and "Die Katharer" with it. Two expansions I had decided I would probably never own based on their usual going price.

General / Need help deciding which "The River " to buy.

I just picked up a Rio Grande C1 Big Box 3 and would like to add the river to it. I am mostly familiar with the C2 version of the game and am having trouble deciding which C1 River to buy. I do understand the basic tile differences between The River I and II, and am most interested in tracking down RII.

Here is my dilemma:
A) Is the Rio Grande Games' version of The River from The Count, King & Robber the same as the version that was released in the C1 base game by Z-Man Games?
B) Does the C1 artwork between Rio Grande and Z-Man Games match?
