Hi dronedrone... can you please explain further what you mean by this:

"If two 'single meeple' features are completed by my tile placement, one of mine and one of my opponent's, I can consign my opponent's single meeple to the bathhouse before mine.   If there are no other vacant bathhouses, my meeple is returned to my supply so I avoid the mucky meeple magnet..."

What do you mean by two single meeple features?

I thought if a bathhouse was on a city, you had to complete the city for the meeple to go to the bathhouse? if it's on the road, you have to complete the road?

No?

Official Rules / bathhouse question...
« on: November 14, 2018, 08:58:55 PM »
If I'm reading the rules correctly.... with the new bathhouse expansion, if you pull a bathhouse tile, you HAVE to place a meeple on it right away? I.e. you don't get a choice?

The rules say: "After having placed a Bathhouse tile, you HAVE to place your Meeple according to the normal rules.."

Please help!

Official Rules / Flyers and Ferries
« on: November 08, 2018, 09:43:48 PM »
Hi there,

Quick question: Can you fly a flyer onto a previously completed road with a ferry (or lake)? Would that mean the meeple would score right away ? Example: there's a completed road that leads to a 'lake' worth 10 points that someone (or myself) scored earlier); I fly my meeple onto it. Do I score 10 points right away again?

Or, can you not fly the meeple onto it because it's already a completed feature?

Official Rules / Re: Ferries... HELP. MARRIAGE IS ON THE LINE!!!
« on: November 04, 2018, 04:04:04 PM »
Okay. I thought I would do a scenario with pictures so folks know what I'm talking about. See photos below.

The FIRST photo is the same as the instruction booklet where red plays a lake and a ferry and blue scores 4. That's pretty self explanatory.

The SECOND photo is a "CAN YOU DO THIS/WHAT IF" scenario: Okay. So later on in the game, green is trying to 'indirectly' connect to reds road (see photo).

In the THIRD photo, green, during another turn, plays the tile that I've 'bordered' in black. Green is NOW connected to reds road. However, because green connected and extended a ferry, Green moves the ferry so it's going towards the OLD route where blue scored 4 points originally (FOURTH PHOTO with RED arrow).

Is this allowed even though the road that blue completed previously was a completed road?!

I think YES.

Thanks for the help folks. Further question... See image below:

In this example, it shows that red moved the bridge, so blues road is closed and blue scores 4 points (blue meeple is then removed from the game). lets say later on, someone plays a landscape tile above the 'lake' tile in the photo, and moves the bridge to go towards the area where blue was before (and away from red), is this allowed?

Official Rules / Ferries... HELP. MARRIAGE IS ON THE LINE!!!
« on: November 03, 2018, 10:24:40 PM »
HAH!  ;) First off... our marriage is okay... but we are having a REALLY hard time understanding the ferries rules.  >:( :( :(

Hoping someone can help us... because we try to play with ferries, put it away for a year or two... try again... put away for a year or two... repeat repeat repeat!

Tonight was the same....

Question: If a road with a ferry is complete, can someone else come along, and build another road, and change the ferry to make their road longer? And can people keep doing this, especially as the ferries can go in three/four different directions?

Can someone just explain the ferries rules in easy to understand language? I feel like it gets confusing as you start extending a road and ferries are involved.

Who can control a ferry and move it? Say, for example, I play a tile with a ferry on it, I put a meeple on it and a ferry. Then my wife comes along and extends that road of mine -- can she then move the ferry? If no, how does she move my ferry eventually? By finding a way to indirectly connect to my road?

Any and ALL information would be helpful. I tried looking at the other forums on here and they're just giving me a headache!

Thanks!

Official Rules / Meeple on a Tower

Can you capture a meeple on a tower, regardless of the height of the tower? And can the dragon eat the meeple on a tower?

Official Rules / Tower Question... Help
« on: October 30, 2018, 10:42:33 PM »
Hi Folks,

I may have posted this somewhere before... I can't quite seem to find where I might have asked this.

Tower question: what if there is a RED meeple 2 away from a tower, and a YELLOW meeple 2 away from the same tower. Let's say I'm GREEN, and on my turn I play a tower piece to make the tower height TWO high. Question: I know that I can only take either the yellow or the red meeple. So let's say I take red. But on my next turn, I want to take yellow as well... do I have to increase the height of THAT tower to three (even though it's within two) or can I increase the height of another tower somewhere else but take the yellow anyways?

Hope this makes sense....

Official Rules / Re: Carc - Bridges, Castles & Bizzares - Castle Question
« on: February 06, 2017, 01:54:32 PM »
dirk2112 was here first, I will just confirm, that official rules state that you can't use anything else to create a castle apart from semi-circular segments. So in this case your wife was right.

The wife is always right...  :-X
