Hello everyone,
I have noticed that my Cathedrals in Germany tiles have noticeably lighter backs than my other tiles. This makes them identifiable from the back when drawing them out of anything other than a bag. Does anyone else have this same issue with these tiles? I'm considering ordering a second set of Cathedrals in Germany with the hopes that the replacement won't have this issue, but I won't do so if the whole run of them had this problem.

This is a recurring problem, some major expansions do also have lighter/darker backs.
We use a tower dispenser and everyone is drawing from the same pile until it is emptied, then everyone is drawing tiles from the second pile (you can do the same without tower dispenser), so that you can't choose a specific light/dark tile. :yellow-meeple:
As an alternative, you can buy a 20 anniversary bag, but I suggest you use a bag only if your tiles are sleeved.

That's odd. I have every expansion and mini-expansion for C2, and this is the only one of mine that has lighter backs. Do all the copies of this particular mini-expansion have this problem, or did I just get a bad one? I'm tempted to try my luck again with another copy.

This is in new or old edition?

New edition.

I've had a look, and my new edition German Cathedrals also have a lighter back compared to the base game.
And looking at several other expansions, there are some other variations in cours of the backs. Some stand out more, some less

Maybe it depends from the publisher?
