It was savage indeed, my friend impressed me with this one! He was even close to win, in the end only the uncompleted cloisters points saved me. He admitted placing all his efforts in blocking me "just like I usually do", and was very effective at it! ![]() 3

News and Events / Re: Belgian Tournament« Last post by Death Meeple on May 26, 2025, 02:25:39 AM »Little feedback after the tournament:
There were less contestants than last year (60-70 players), but the level was incredibly higher. Most people playing it as a family game, usually coming for the 4-players games, weren't there, since even the qualification turns were 1vs1 games. I really enjoyed this new approach of the tournament, and so did many contestants. It gives better opportunities to use strategy over luck, and a more reliable ranking in the end. It was a crazy day for me: only my second tournament, and I had the opportunity to play against some members of the belgian team and some former belgian champions (online or IRL), and even win against some of them! I managed to stay unbeaten for the first 4 games, and even reached table 1, meaning that at some point, I was the highest ranked player of the day ![]() I couldn't keep that position for sure, and lost my 2 last qualification games by 1 point both. This still allowed me to get my place for the quarter-finals, being the only qualified french speaker was a lot of pressure! Unfortunately, I didn't managed to get any further, and ended up 8th of the final ranking. I had the opportunity to meet many players, including christokedex and his amazing Carcassonne-shirt (spot him on the pics? ![]() Just a few pictures with me in a high state of focus... ![]() 8

General / Re: C3 Problems: The differences of tones of the back of the tiles« Last post by christokedex on May 23, 2025, 11:41:16 AM »Thanks for signalling.
Another option collect 1 set of C1 and 1 set of C3 ![]() I didn't check if there is a difference between the back of blanco tiles sold by Cundco and the other tiles. For playing mega carcassonne with many tiles I use 1 bag for sea tiles and 2 bags for land tiles. I weigh at certain pauses in the game the bags to know how many tiles are left to play as you can see in the example below: 12 tiles have a weight of 33 grams, 35 tiles have a weight of 100 grams (1 tile weighs 2,857143 grams) a 20th anniversary bag weighs 44 grams. So if I have a net weight of 857 grams there are 300 tiles left to play in the bag. |
