Hunters and Gatherers v2 : Interaction of both pit tile scoring

The following situation arose in our game today.

The pit trap (bonus tile) was placed first (it's two tiles to the right of the highlighted tile). This results in the animals on the 8 surrounding tiles scoring double points at the end of the game, so deer=2, aurochs=4 and mammoth=6. Then the hunting pit (bonus tile, outlined in red in attached photo) was drawn by the same player. This results in immediate scoring of the animals on any tiles on the 8 surrounding tiles.

The question we had was whether the animals should score double points for the immediate scoring even though it wasn't the end of the game. Any thoughts?

And, yes, the stone circle and standing stone tiles are "new" and currently in development.

Maybe DrMeeple can help you. He played a lot of H&G v2 games on BGA as soon as it was released.

When the two special tiles are on the same meadow, the hunter tile cancels the animals at the time of placing the same one on the 8 adjacent tiles of that wall ... It doesn't matter if the bonus tile is before or after. ..
The animal point count is always at the end of the game, not during the game...

Yes it’s very common situation but no sense if the same player gets both tiles and puting in his meadow.. He will kill is own animals lol

Thanks for the prompt reply. It's what we thought. Placing the second tile might score the points now if that player could see that an opponent was ready to steal the grassland later.
