old expansions with the graphics of the new edition
« on: February 04, 2021, 11:59:09 PM »
hello to all :)
could you tell me if there is a place here or on carcassonne forum where the expansions of the old edition are "fanmade converted" for the new edition and are cataloged?

Understood.
If you mean official expansions, then only some are converted due to
1. They are in secret list of expansions which will be realeased in new design in future (Currently ony Halflings, German Monasteries, German Castles, Festival 15 converted and released)
2. They are not solved issue with copyright (Unknown list)

It not listed in previous list, maybe some of them were converted on german or czech forum.

Conversion between design is not approved and is forbiden by HiG (author and copyright owner of Carcassonne).
But there are some exceptions with approvement by Hig
1. The Plagues
2. Games Quarterly miniexpansion
Both are available on https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewforum.php?f=352

Ah, maybe a slight oversight by me in the CII expansions list not to include reference to the fact that some of the tiles are being converted by CarcF members, though its mostly going from CII => CI. Will add something to the list in due course.
AutumnForest (C2), Catch Of The Day (C1/2/WD), Cliffs&W'falls (C1/2), Coast (C1/2), FishHuts (C2), Fluvium (C2), NewForest (C2), Harvest (C1/2), Stone Circles (C1/2), Wells (C2), Jordan River 2 (AotC), River I/II (GR)
Devt: Sakura (C2), WinterEdge (C1), WinterCoast (WD/WE) and others

As far as I know, CarcF was working on the following conversions:

C1 ==> C2
* The Plague
     https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=352&t=4579
* Games Quarterly #11
     https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=352&t=3956

C2 ==> C1
* The Abbot
     https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=353&t=3446
     https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=353&t=2406
     https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=353&t=2911
* The Watchtowers
     https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=131&t=3493
* Under the Big Top
     https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=353&t=3709
     https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=353&t=3715

They maintain the following hub page with most of them (The Watchtowers is not included here) and the may include some fan expansion conversions as well:

It's a little difficult to work with the rough translations.
I believe that this is final version of the tiles, files, and rats https://www.carcassonne-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=352&t=4579&start=60#p62345

Am I correct?

And I couldn't find the GQ11 refresh to C2, any help would be great.

CarcF is missing a download section like we have here, making it very difficult to find downloadable content.

Would it be possible to add these interesting files here on CC download section?  :yellow-meeple:

The GQ#11 tiles are included in a zip file. You have to download each one individually from the thread. Check this post for the initial versions although some later posts include new versions fir tiles 1, 7 and 11 for example.

You have to post a number of comments on the site before you can get access to the downloads area. Maybe you've not reached the threshold yet?

My bad, I did have access to the download section. But it doesn't contain CII plague and GQ11  ???

Do you know what is the exact number? It seems that 10 posts isn't sufficient.

I think it is 10, as I made 13 posts and I have access.

You'll find the download section at the bottom of the index page:
