Just got a nice delivery! I just came back from walking the dogs to find the postman at the door with a little package from austria. Now the question; do i open it and play with it, or keep it in the seal... ;D

Good find. I don't see many of these very often (although this is probably largely to do with the fact that I don't really look either)!

keep it closed, the tiles are terrible!

Really? I thought they were pretty standard...

Found it on a autrian second hand website. Found 2 more on there, one is too expensive for me (€50), and the other one hasnt replied to my emails (send one in english and one in german, but no respons). I was (of course) searching for just the belagerer, but this was a good find for a very good price! So now ill keep asking myself if i should open it, or leave it closed, cus it is a collectors item  ;)
Might wait if the other one replies me

Aha yes. The other metal box, the one with Traders & Builders has the weird tiles.

Shortbread never stays in tins for very long in my house. But we keep the tins for incredibly useful purposes that are yet to be discovered.

The other one is a slightly bigger, squarer box which includes the old-style 50-point score track as well as the base game + Traders & Builders. I think it's an HiG release but there's something funny about the thickness (or colour) of the tiles. I have it, but it's still in shrink-wrap so I don't want to open it! 8)

Not a game but a lovely gift from the postman today anyway: board game bowls in the 'medieval' theme. These will be great for so many games. It was a Kickstarter project so, as always, Chooselife is perpetually to blame!

For someone wanting me to back games so you can play then you do throw a lot of blame around.

They are lovely.

They are incredibly nice, though I misread Jungleboy's original message and thought he'd ordered some "bowels in the 'medieval' theme"; I was quite confused for a few seconds...  :@

Haha. Maybe IKEA sells a giant throwing device so I can throw some more at you :)
