Title: WTB: Carcassonne Für 2
Post by: Scott on January 25, 2022, 03:07:56 PM
Regular North American eBay prices are ridiculous. I found this on a German site but I have no idea how to buy it:
https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/carcassonne-fuer-2-zwei-metallbox/1982127248-23-1893 (https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/carcassonne-fuer-2-zwei-metallbox/1982127248-23-1893)

If anyone is able to hook me up, I would greatly appreciate it.

If you want the reach the seller, you have to click on "Nachritch" to send a message. In this cases I use http://deepl.com (http://deepl.com) to translate texts into German and back. I use to send the first message in both German and English. If you are lucky, the guy will reply in English.

The platform does not provide a payment gateway, so you will have to agree with the seller the price + shipping, the shipping address and the payment method (Paypal for example).

Hope this helps

I tried to set up an account, but there's an SMS verification thing and of course my country code is not one of the options.

If you like to learn a bit more about this game. At CarcF we have some comments there.
This game has 48 tiles, 2x 6 meeple (red and blue), the tiles are 35x35mm

Here is the link to CarcF - the comments from the members.

Here is an image I posted on BGG showing the 48 tiles and what I think is the closest approximation you can get using 48 tiles taken from the full-size base game.  (Approximation has the same number of each edge type, C-F-R.)

I thought it was available everywhere, it wasn't so long ago it was produced

Well, looks like I'm wrong, everything becomes rare so fast it's inscredible

I was considering buying Carcassonne für 2 last summer since we had had a lot of fun with the travel edition of C1 before. I was apparently considering too long and all of a sudden, Cf2 which seemed to be everywhere on BGG, ebay and other usual sources became very scarse to find. It took me quite a bit of searching before I secured my copy. I bevertheless much recommend it, with a bit of customizing, it is a great and much enjoyable travel companion. Pity that HiG probably do not intend to develop it any further, any new or adapted miniexpansions would be warmly welcomed!

My money is on its way to the German eBay seller.

I noticed that the mini scoreboard is slightly smaller than a postcard, so I’m looking into getting it printed as one, but I need to use a Chinese company to do it because of the artwork. American companies won’t do it because of licensing issues; Chinese companies don’t care about that.

While I'm waiting for this to arrive (20 days), I've abandoned the postcard idea and gone back to the old reliable mousepad, which is more expensive but also more durable. According to some of my work colleagues, the Chinese New Year shutdown has already begun, so I might be waiting a while, but I think I've managed to place an order for a custom mousepad which I will need to cut down to size. For some reason, the sizing was very finicky. With the image scaled to 100%, it was the full width of a 9.25" mousepad, so I scaled it down to 60% which I'm hoping will be the correct size to fit inside the tin after I trim the edges.

I see from the comments on the German Carcassonne forums that the tile thickness between Carc for 2 and Demospiel are not quite the same. My plan was to add the Demospiel tiles to Carc for 2 to create a C2 travel edition, but we'll see. I'll also have to pick up some 12mm meeples in additional colours on my next MeepleSource order.

Confirmed.  Here are 2 stacks of 20 tiles each:

I also ordered 12mm meeples from meeplesource, but I think the Demo & Für-2 meeples are closer to 14mm:

My wife thinks Demo is too short and Für-2 is too long, so I made one bag with 31 tiles and another with 37 tiles.  When the game is so short, you don't want the first player to have an extra turn!   >:D

Interesting note on meeple size! I guess I'll have to order red and blue as well to ensure consistent sizing.
