(sold) C1 official and fan-made expansions
« on: December 20, 2024, 01:31:04 AM »
EDIT: everything listed here has been sold offsite. I'm leaving this thread for reference, but please do not contact me about any of these expansions.

Hi, I have a few (mini)expansion for sale:
Official:
  • The Labyrinth
  • The Cult / Heretics & Shrines
  • The Windroses (second edition, with only North and South labeled)
  • Halflings I/Halb so wild I

Fan-made:
  • Railways (Eisenbahn) + 4 tiles from The Families (initially unidentified at the time of posting this)
  • Fishing Huts (Fischerhütte)
  • City Walls / Ramparts (initially unidentified at the time of posting this).

Of all these, only the Fishing Huts expansion comes with a mini-rulesheet in German. All other expansions are sold without rules. I have factory-printed English rules for the Hunters & Gatherers mini-expansion though, which I sold long ago. I could add them to the shipment if the buyer wanted. I can also throw in a copy of the Halloween mini-expansion for Munchkin for free if you want (because I still have several of them, but I don't even own the game anymore).

To the best of my knowledge, all of these are C1, but, as you can see, there are significant coloration differences among them.

I don't know how much they're worth, so feel free to offer a price you think is fair. I'd prefer to sell them in combinations (at least the fan-made ones), but if there's only one expansion you're interested in, you can let me know as well.

Advance payment is possible by IBAN money transfer or as send-to-friend via PayPal.

Fair warning that, while resale of official expansions is fine, sale/resale of fan expansions is prohibited by HIG.

The last (unidentified) expansion is City Walls or Ramparts by Guido Kämmer, originally released as Stadtmauren. It can be found in the CarcC Downloads area.

Thanks a lot! Maybe you have some idea what these four tiles are? They're not part of Eisenbahn, I just checked.

Thanks for the warning! It would be a shame to throw them away though, and I'm not making a business out of this, so I hope they can look the other way just this once.

They look as if they've come from The Families by Frédéric Renaud, another of the expansions I identified as "missing" in my "missing expansions" document, although some of the tiles from the original expansion formed the basis of Family Feud which has seen several versions.

I agree it would be a shame to destroy them. Can you tell if the fan expansion tiles have been printed onto blank tiles, rather than being printed onto paper and then stuck on as an extra layer?

Thank you once again! I think I found an error in the description for Abbey: if it may have two rings around it, that would be 25 tiles (and thus 25 points), not 16!

They've been stuck on as an extra layer, but very professionally, I would say. A transparent decal (if that's the right word) was used to stick them, with all its edges neatly bent to the other side. and never overlapping. It's almost like Carcassonne DIY kits had been available for purchase.

Thank you once again! I think I found an error in the description for Abbey: if it may have two rings around it, that would be 25 tiles (and thus 25 points), not 16!

The original Dutch version that I found contained ...

Quote
Hierdoor is een volwaardige abdij geen 9 punten waard, maar 16 punten (natuurlijk alleen als de abdij met 2 monniken is bezet, anders zijn er geen punten te verdienen).

so I just included the English translation as ...

Quote
Because of this, a full abbey is not worth 9 points, but 16 points (of course only if the abbey is occupied with 2 monks, otherwise no points can be earned).

in my document. However, I can add a note to my document about this for a future version. Thanks for spotting this inconsistency.

I've always been curious how those early fan-produced-and-sold tiles were made.
