OK. I have got some prices etc.
I have the following interested:
Guy
Koremu x2
Decar x2
Rosco x2
Curt194
SRBO (seperate postage)
I have 3 options for postage.
Option 1)
If I were to send 8 copies of the magazine + tiles to the UK, NZPost will charge NZ$51. This makes each copy of the Magazine + tiles around $16.65.
Option 2)
If I send just the tiles, I can send up to 3 sets in each parcel, and the cost is NZ$10 per set plus $5.60 postage. I am restricted to 200g per "letter", and the magazine + tiles weigh 211g. Tiles alone weigh 54g.
Option 3)
If I were to remove the frame around the tiles, I could get away with a magazine + tiles as that comes in just under 200g.
Cost is NZ$15.60
So, what I need from you guys is agreement on how to send them.
I am thinking of Option 1, and sending 1 parcel to the UK. It means paying both myself for the magazines and postage, and then also paying the person in the UK to send them on, but if all agree, and can do options 2 or 3. This means you will not get a complete magazine and tiles. I will have to open each magazine up and reduce the weight.
SRBO, I am thinking you would be better with the last option.
If you can decide how you want them sent, I will get them on the way, once I have ordered some more copies. Also, I believe there is a limit at which VAT gets charged. Can anyone tell me the limit so I can make sure the magazines are under this limit ;-).

I like Option 1 the best, for the extra 45p postage + 74p for UK second class. But this might not be so good for SRBO. UK to Netherlands is about 2GBP.
Rosco am I sending you some home-made Russian Tiles too?
I've also got another Russian-Count box on the way; which will be looking for a home (Rosco/Koremu/Curt/SRBO?).
Perhaps I can bundles these together?
EDIT: VAT charges are usually pretty simple: If an item's VAT is less than 8GBP they don't bother collecting it (I want to check this value but can't find at the moment). VAT is 20% so items more than 40GBP are charged VAT. Then delivery companies charge an extra 8 or 12 for paying the bill for you as a handling fee.
Sometimes I have seen the calculation be made on item+Postage; not just the item - and it's very difficult to reclaim.
DO NOT mark the item as a gift - I was once stung for a BOOK mis-labelled and in the UK we do not pay VAT on books. I am not sure about magazines.
So using 35GBP as a good safety mark - I think that's about 77.9NZD.

Re: VAT
In the UK we have a Value Added Tax (VAT), which must be paid on pretty much everything we buy. It's currently at 20%. When Andrew sends something to the UK from NZ, we are expected to pay 20% of the item's value to the UK Government. When posting the item he must declare it's worth eg: 100GBP. In this case when the Item arrives in the UK, H&M Revenue and Customs will declare that a duty must be paid eg: 20GBP. The delivery company will pay the cost and add an additional 8GBP for administration/handling.
So, if you buy something for 100GBP. When it arrives you'll pay another 28GBP.
Hopefully Andrew will be able to assign a suitable cost on the items we, who ever picks up the bill doesn't need to pay the VAT.
SRBO, I'll PM you about Russian Tiles, but I should give Rosco first refusal as he missed out last time.

I am happy without the magazine. So postage would be direct to me I guess or I can redistribute in the UK if that will work out cheaper.
Decar I will send a PM to you regarding the Russian count and the 2 tile mini.

If you still can, Rosco, I wish I had a copy of the magazine, I own two sets of tiles but not that.

I'm possibly a little late to the party, but if there are still copies of the expansion with magazine still available to the UK then I'd love to receive one. If not, or it's a lot of trouble getting more, don't worry about it. It's my own fault for not posting sooner...

Right, I've looked into this, and found that VAT is only charged on imports into the UK of £15 or more (source:
http://www.dutycalculator.com/help_center/Import-duty-and-taxes-explained-in-a-nutshell/
)
Because NZ$9.99 is UK£4.48, I can import 3 without having to pay any VAT (cost of postage is ignored).
As such, I'll have to import the 2 I want for me and a mate, and can handle 1 more if anyone wants me to, but it'd be more hassle than it's worth dealing with customs for more than that, sorry
Failing that I might import 3 and bank one. I'm sure someone will want them in trade, some day

Ho hum. That'll just be 2 sets then. I'm not sure if just importing the tiles still counts as a magazine.

Seems like there's three groups:
Only want Tiles:
Koremu x2
Rosco x2
SRBO (seperate postage)
Wants Magazine:
Decar x2
DanisThirty
To Decide:
Curt194
Either

If it's cost effective I'd like the magazine and tiles.

Thanks Guy, I think I slipped you into the Tiles category. I think its safe to say: it's cheaper for the individual to get just the tiles vs the the tiles with the magazine.

Well from what Andrew says you can have magazine and tiles for the cheap postage rate as long as you don't mind having the tiles loose without a frame.
Personally I'm not bothered about the magazine (I don't think there's much else of interest in it), but I *really* don't want to have to deal with the bureaucratic tangles of Her Majesty's Customs and Excise
if I can possibly avoid it - hence, keeping it below the £15 import limit.
