Superficialy, it may be interesting to srike a balance and timing between protecting your meeples and getting those 2 points, or placing new meeples. However I feel like it maight prove too situational/rando with no way to predict when the revolt comes. I also feel like this should have been a major expansion
12 tiles is not much for such a global and costly effect - and you still remove three exacerbating both issues. Alas we shall see how it plays out.
Either way, I can add this to my list of "the most agressive version of Carcassonne"
(and probably most annoying as well).
Several thoughts:
-you can use negative points to manipulate your scoring meeples and get extra messages
-you can use the revolt to rescue trapped meeples
questions:
-how can you protect abbot i german/dutch/belgian monastery? How can you distinguish a protected monk and protected abbot?
-does the sentence: "This meeple has now joined the farmers." actually change its designation to framer. Obviosly it still occupies and scores whichever feature, but is it now considered a farmer for the purposes of WoF and Messages?
