Local 2nd hand markets, and also a lot of help!
Especially through CarcassonneCentral and the Carcassonne Museum, I have been blessed with friends in many countries!
And they all seem to be more than happy to help out with searching for and finding local boxes!

They often get several boxes and then send it to me in 1 go

Completed my Minis set with #5 and #6 (and #7, of course!) and also got original copies of the Count, River II and Dutch Monasteries. Another good day!

The postwoman brought me a package from [mention]MMike [/mention] today. I finally have an official copy of River 3, and he threw in a few goodies as well.

It is from Big Box 5, and it is called River 3 to distinguish it from River 1 because it has sheep and vineyards. The tile configurations are the same as River 1.

This is the configuration of River I, but a few details are different (sheep, vines, watermark). It therefore seems logical to me to differentiate them.

+1 to this. There's more to a tile/ expansion than simply the tile configurations, especially when some of those tiles include elements that are unique to that version of that expansion, such as River 3 vs. River 1.

Indeed. The sheep and the wineyard have an effect on the game, albeit a rather small one. I know this is a recurrent debate and people have various thoughts but for me, this is River III. And we actually like it most of the C1 rivers for that sheep seems so cute, if not a bit dumb (as most sheep seem, anyway...)

I must admit I am very eager to keep calling the version of the river from the BB5 "River 1, BB5 version". The changes are not enough to consider it a whole new version, it's just a variant in my opinion, that doesn't "deserve" a new numeral.

A decent stack this time! including a sealed Dutch WoF, a whopping 4 French boxes (Thanks @Linksux !!!), and some more smaller stuff!
Also, Linksux included a copy of the French version of the Gifts, as well as 2 mini expansions that have been released by ZMG in French! I had no idea they existed, and now i've got them!

Another surprise gift from France, actually came from Brazil!

This is a small travel box that was made in 2020 by a very talented member of Carcassonne Brasil, and holds a whole base game + meeples!
I had seen it online, but as they sold out very quickly (unsurprisingly), i was not able to get one. Now i have been gifted one, and i am so happy with it!

The box is shown closed on the left, with a beautiful piece of woodwork art next to it! Another present, and you can understand my jaw dropped when i was unpacking stuff
