Ah, new expansions issued, it will be difficult ;-D

1188
Yes, but it would protect you against stuff like dragon and towers  >:D making it even worse, because you couldn't use them to retrieve it.
I guess, that it can be catched by towers. But dragon like them, and they are not protect agains dragon, or?

Strategy Guide / Re: Izbushka - Baba Yaga's Hut breaking the limits...
« on: November 27, 2020, 02:37:15 PM »
Here the point is if we can count those areas that cannot be occupied or we should ignore them the same way monasteries ignore them to be considered completed:

Around a monastery or Baba Yaga's Hut, we may find:
1. Map squares occupied by tiles:
    * Score 1 point for a monastery
    * Score 0 points for Baba Yaga's hut.
2. Map squares not occupied by tiles:
    * Score 0 points for a monastery
    * Score 1 point for Baba Yaga's hut.
3. Map areas that cannot be occupied by tiles beyond the country border:
    * Not considered for monastery scoring as occupied spaces (even those printed road segments or printed semicircular segments)
    * Not considered for monasteries as spaces (the allow to complete a monastery on the border with less tiles)
    * Should they be considered for Baba Yaga's Hut?

Following the approach for monasteries, I would only consider in the tiles and spaces in printed squares... If so the islands would not be a way to score more points, just to complete a feature faster.

Any thoughts? Too strict?

Well. I guess, that it's about strict rules. If tiles for monasteries are counted only "preprinted" tiles positions, that online those positions can be counted for Baba Yaga's hut. So arround island is not preprinted tiles, so non keeped empty, Baba Yaga's scores only 1 point for itself.

I like strict rules and similarities in rules which have sense. This is good for prevention of rules fight during game. Because for some player is win of game primary goal of playing ;-(

Well? What do you think?

1191
Currently she have only one goal. To go to Zanzibar and watch tortoises there.

1192
No one plays grey or pink so no great problem
Well my daughter started with play of pink. But then we bought expansion with Shepherd C1 (didn't knowing that there are two version of design of Carcassonne) and he was gray. So she didn't want to play with him, so started to play with black.
Currently all are pink, but she's 13 and currently don't want to play with us, doesn't matter if we have all meeples in pink

1193
In other hand, what if I play with two vodyanoy tiles and I placed their tiles touching their edges :D

Try it, you'll see your meeples starting to levitate above the two tiles !   :):):))

They will explode and do not get back to players' supply.

NEVER :D

1194
And a nice, new, shiny phantom expansion, making me frustrated at the price I had to pay a year ago to get one...
Welcome in our world ;-)

1195
Outch. In Slovakia we will tell something like "They should to tap DTP designer's fingers" - meaning with hammer of course.

1196
Before it I will told you what I doscovered today:
Quote
Each time you do not to place a meeple on the tile you just have placed, [3] you may protect one of your meeples standing on tiles for the cost of 2 points.

Imagine.
I place a tile.
I will not place meeple on tile but I enlarge tower.
By this wording of rules, I'm still able to protect any meeple, becase I didn't place a meeple on the tile I just have placed.

Also send option:
I place a tile with magic portal - ok I'll stop here, because I place meeple on magic portal which beamed my meeple somewhere else. This is simmilar to flying machine.

Another:
I place a tile.
I place a meeple to existing tower on top
By rules amd also able to protect meeples because I don't place meeple on placed tile.

And another, not last:
I move tollkeeper or place tollkeeper.
I'm able to protect meeple again?

Or?

Meybe we have to discover also those possibilities by this rules :D

News and Events / Re: Advent package 2020 - Including Phantom!
« on: November 25, 2020, 09:42:14 AM »
So @Murphy013 confirms on CarcF.de, that box is CutCassonne. He ordered Advent package 2020 and altready delivered with CutCassonne.

1198
I was checking Festival and it's rules are different.
Anyway, maybe that knew that in Advent Package will be phantom, textation includes this.
Or that "Every time" means that on any turn when you not place wood. But rules are our law, so we have to manage it.
Anyway, most similar functionality for this is moving/place toll keeper.
But rules for Tollkeepers use different wording:
Quote
If you don't place a meeple, you are allowed to place your tollhouse showing 1 (small toll). If your tollhouse is already in the game, you are allowed to relocate it. The rules for this procedure are as follows
So for this reason I'm for ability to protect any meeple on board when you have phantom in supply and not place him on board.

You see the dilemma here!!!  >:D

Well, here is also one "trap".

Quote
Each time you do not to place a meeple on the tile you just have placed...

So here can be sollution of our problem:
Each time - it mean every possibility of place meeple. It means also "not place" phantom.

So I think in phantom phase it HAS to be allowed to protect any meeple on board with costs 2 points if you not place your meeple from supply.

Hmm, I didn't realize that. Now I understand your first wording for Phase 2B-2. In this case maybe it has to be able to protect meeple if none meeple was changed to protected in Phase 2B-1.

Wording can be: When you didn't place your phantom from your supply, you can protect any meeple if you don't do this in Phase 2B-1 Place Wood. (something with nicer english ;-D)

What do you think?

PS: German wording in rules mentioned in quote is similar?
