I've played them alongside Cathars, as both were very early expansions for Carcassonne. I dislike the weird placement rules about them being too close to each other, which is a rule to prevent cloisters being put next to each other, but along with cathars, the extra tiles with the city escape rule makes this ok.

In theory adding more cloisters should normalize the chances of drawing all the cloister tiles, and the placement rules should restrict their piggyback effects. I might try this one again soon.

PapaGeek's issue was that his certificate didn't match his domain.  So the the browser wouldn't load them unless you've explicitly accepted the cert.

Good luck sorting the certificates.

That URL you posted is actually an action URL to post a message reply after a specific message  on this topic. You'll have a warning that there's been a reply.

I've attached what the in-line URL looks like in my email client on my phone. I generally prefer seeing URLs because I can quickly check if the URL looks legitimate or is taking me to a site like isntcundco.de for example, although that doesn't stop anyone putting a different url src over a legitimate URL.

Enjoy using BBCodes!

Yeah, it's standard BBCode, not an alternative implementation.

You should know that modern browsers do not mix secure (https) and insecure (http) content; so I can't see your images.
Currently, the certificate for https on your website is invalid.

I just wanted to make sure people know you were offering a 3€ tile, that someone could buy 10 of, for a tile you couldn't buy but you had to spend 20€ to receive.  I wanted to make sure that someone less knowledgeable has all the relevant information before deciding if it's for them.

I'm sure supertopix wouldn't want to appear like a scalper; so to help that.  If you are interested please use this thread to register your interest.  By keeping trades public, everyone can see what is negotiated.

For those coming in late, or who might not have the information. The Ukrainian tile is currently available on Cundoco.de for €3 and 150% of proceeds are given to Ukrainian charity.

The Essen Spiel bonus tiles were only available at Essen Spiel with a minimum purchase of 20€.  They may be available on the Cundco shop during the holiday period later in the year, and limited to one per customer.  Ukrainian tiles were limited to 10 per customer during Essen Spiel.

This isn't really an alternative way of doing it. The forum supports the common BBCode syntax for a lot of common tags. It's generally a terrible ideal to allow unsolicited HTML in posts made by the member of the public because it will allow potentially malicious code to execute on the client's machine.

You can read about BBCode here: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBCode

Personally, I prefer to put full URLs in posts, because I can then click on them in my email client without having to open the forum. If you hyperlink text, the hyperlink isn't included in the notification.

You should note that you are using curly braces, not the required square brackets in your original post.

Looks like a wonderful game Sir Lose-a-farm - I quite like all the points that the Circus hands out. It's a nice way to spread out the scores; looks like your game was extremely close!

For those interested in my recent Noggin The Nog adventure, I was very surprised this morning to find that Tony Boydell had dedicated today's blog post to the book I presented to them at Essen Spiel—https://boardgamegeek.com/blogpost/137624/where-black-rocks-stand-guard-against-cold-sea

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.

Ringo, your collection and presentation is truly amazing. I was really happy to see that there are people out there meticulously preserving every aspect of Carcassonne. It was also wonderful to know that they're kind enough to open their doors to other fans!  I'm glad that we were able to share a few photos with people too.  I look forward to being able to share experiences again and hopefully exchange a few bits and pieces in the future.  +1 from me :)

Both.

HiG on the cover.  Z-man and HiG on the back.  These copies were produced in the EU (The Netherlands I think).  Later editions will be produced in the US for the US market.
