Hi, my wife is willing to make a huge present to me, for Xmas, so she’s willing to pay up to 50 € in order to get that 2015 Spiel Tile. Is it on sale? Thanks
Sorry, none left (I kept the original post updated as they sold).

If it's any consolation, I think they sold at around £75 - £85 (€85 - €98) or thereabouts, I don't remember exactly now.

I guess the questioner is none the wiser then.

My suggestion: he should hope you are right, he should plan for me being right.  That way he can't be disappointed.

For UK delivery.
I've been buying stuff from all over into the UK, and never paid import duty.
But I also don't stay up to date with the rules, so that means they don't apply to me  8)
Well, the rate of duty on boardgames (Customs Trariff 95049080 ) is 0%. from anywhere, so no-one would pay any duty, no matter the value.  The rate of VAT on goods imported to the UK from anywhere is 20%, however.

Yep, bought lots of stuff, never paid import taxes.
Always stayed under about £130, which I thought was the limit. Although I've read lots of articles stating otherwise, but I've never had any issues
Do you buy for delivery to the UK, Willem? Or for delivery to another EU country. The £135 "exemption" for importing to the UK from the EU is long gone ...

Does anybody have any actual experiences of the duty/tax implications of ordering from Cundco since Brexit?
Yes. I refer you to my post above.

Assume you WILL be charged VAT and a £12 processing fee.  The UK is not part of the EU.

It doesn't matter whether the seller is Cundco or anyone else in the EU (or the US, or Canada, or Switzerland, or Ireland  ... you get the picture)

There's plenty of time to plan for this game though, the coronation won't happen for many months.  IIRC QEII's coronation was 18 months after her accession.

Any chance I can get a shipping estimate for sending Amazonas to New Zealand? I've heard good things about it.
Every chance :)

Unless you want to go for the sea-freight option (saving £15, with a transit time quoted as 15-80 days!), these are indicative prices (Royal Mail, tracked, 6-8 business days, insured to £50):

1.25kg: £24.00
1.5kg: £26.50
2kg: £28.10

It will be removed.  They cannot comply with legislation covering "marketplaces" in the US.  That's a given.

Some functionality may remain - at least according to the announcement - but - if it does, they say it will be like a "classified ad" (kleineanzeigen) system.

Yes, the data loss is tragic.

In case you ever bought from Boardgamegeek, please be aware that their marketplace is completely closing on September 1st. It seems all history will be deleted as well.

@supertopix - We don't have many rules on this forum. Sellers can use this space for what they wish. If you don't agree with the price, I'd appreciate if you can at least be civil. Or use this thread for it's intended purpose: For people to make offers.

I don't think Egmar is under any delusion that the items he's offering for sale abide by the consumer laws of supply and demand. By keeping negotiations in the open, everyone can see what things are worth, and things are only worth what someone is willing to buy.
Yes, of course. And I know the rules. But let me live the idea of being in a forum for Carcassonne lovers and gamers, and not in a scalpers world. That said, I’m happy when someone can find a very hard to find tile, and so be it.
I'm not sure you quite recognise the time (hours and hours and hours) and effort and knowledge that goes in to assembling a large collection of hard-to-find Carcassonnerie, finding it in unlikely places, paying for it and its shipping, keeping it, cataloguing it, listing it, dealing with enquiries about it, working out best-price shipping for it, working out payment arrangements for folks who don't know how to do it and then packing it and posting it.   If I paid myself UK Minimum National Living Wage (£9.50/hr) I'd probably break even overall.   I resent being called a scalper - even tangentially.

I'm not waiting 5 days to see if my offer is acceptable or not and that is why I am withdrawing it. any offer I would be willing to go with would be lower now.
I see.  In which case I think it best you and I have nothing more to do with each other.

Classing this as offer declined you can sell to the other party.
I'm not quite sure what you mean, but for the avoidance of doubt the item is still for sale and if someone offers me more than you did then of course I will sell it to them; if no one offers me more, then it can be yours if you still want it then.  If you don't want it then, it's not a problem.

By all means make offers on some other items :)

I won't "finalise" anything tonight, though - I need to give others a chance to express their interest, and there is another party interested who will not return from an overseas trip for 5 days.

Cheerio :)
