Japanese buildings can still be obtained pretty easily, but not from Cundco.  Japanese copies of the base game (called Carcassonne J) all include the Japanese buildings mini-expansion.

Cheapest I've seen it available in the UK is about £60 on eBay, not sure if that's a standard price...I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much

Yeah, my bad, I didn't see it in the announcements section. I was browsing the Mindok site today for something else and saw it.
