Keep track of your Carcassonne collection in your forum profile
« on: February 10, 2013, 04:40:40 PM »
Kettlefish suggested that it would be good to explain for newcomers to Carcassonne Central about the custom fields we've added to your forum profile. On the menu near the top of the page, if you hover your mouse over the word "Profile" and then click on "Forum Profile" in the menu that appears, you will be on the page where you can edit your profile. Scroll down a bit and you'll see a list of the Carcassonne games and expansions. If you haven't changed anything here yet, next to each game/expansion it will say "Wants". You can change these to "Owns" or "No interest", depending on your own situation. These fields appear only in your profile and they have no effect on how the forums are displayed to you. Filling them out is just for fun or your own keeping track. This is similar to the feature on BoardGameGeek, but it can be handy to keep track here also if you have a lot more board games in your collection than just Carcassonne.

When you're done making changes to your profile, make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom and click the "Change Profile" button to save.

Is it bad if I practically own everything, except for the Big Box and KidsCarc?  :P

Please members,
Kettlefish suggested that it would be good to explain for newcomers to Carcassonne Central about the custom fields we've added to your forum profile. On the menu near the top of the page, if you hover your mouse over the word "Profile" and then click on "Forum Profile" in the menu that appears, you will be on the page where you can edit your profile. When you're done making changes to your profile, make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom and click the "Change Profile" button to save.

It would be a pleasure for us and helpful if you like to keep track of your Carcassonne collection in your forum profile.

I am only missing
- Scout (since I made those into fan tiles in 2008 when I had no plans to get Hunters & Gatherers
- Phantom (but I did get the meeples in the 10 year anniversary box)
- La Porxada (but I can print that out myself)
- Die Belagerer (the new German siege tiles)
and Corn Circles I.

It's seems to me that many members already have Corn Circles I,
how can that be, isn't it hard to get, I have only seen it once on Ebay, and then the price was 128 US dollars and I am not paying that much.

Corn Circles I was obtainable at cundco once, I bought it there (for a very reasonable price).

Yes, when Corn Circles first came out in the Cundco Shop, many of us bought a copy. I accidentally bought two copies and gave one to my cousin. It wouldn't surprise me if the number of copies purchased by CarcC forum members was a significant percentage.

There also was an edition of the base game with Crop Circles included.

Disclaimer: Carc Central is profiting from the information you put in your forum profile, by selling it to the game publishers for a hefty fee. Naw, just kidding... we don't do anything with it. It's just there for your own benefit  ;D

My OCD is disturbed by the fact that I can't add Owns to Die Belagerer in my Forum Profile.
I got Die Belagerer today, but it is not yet added to the expansionslist.

I'll second this. I figured it was only a matter of time that it was added.

Sorry, I don't think to update that stuff automatically. I've added Die Belagerer and South Seas.
