The exhibition "modell-hobby-spiel" in Leipizig, Germany from 02.-04.10.2015:

Some English information:
Quote
modell-hobby-spiel is the biggest consumer event for model building, model railways, creative arts, games and toys, for visitors from the five eastern states of Germany, for Bavaria and Hessen as well as for visitors from the Czech Republic and Poland.

It is taking place for the 20th time in 2015.

In 2014, 658 exhibitors from 10 countries presented a comprehensive industry overview and unveiled new products. Workshops and lots of offers to try out encourage people to get involved in all areas and demonstrate how nice it can be to have a hobby.

Since 2009, the "Graf Ludo" game graphics award has been presented at modell-hobby-spiel
I will go on Saturday to Leipzig.
But this year I don't  go to the "Graf Ludo" prize-giving ceremony.
The ceremony is this year on Friday in the same hall as the booth from HiG.

The nominees for the award has two cathegories - each cathegory has 2-3 nominees:
- best graphics in family games
- best graphics in children games
Graf Ludo - Nominees

The graphic artists with the best graphic will get the award.

CundCo Shop - coming soon with new system and navigation

I've got an email from CundCo:

Quote from: 'CundCo - by email - bing-translator '
In a few days, we're going with a new Carcassonne & co online shop launched! A new system, better navigation, everything seems fresh and contemporary. And finally there will be an English-language version.

We like to refresh the product descriptions for all of our products. Some descriptions of the mini expensions are thin or aren't saying anything important.  And who could be better to bring the benefits of the various mini expensions to the point as the Carcassonne fan community?

If you like to help us with a small descriptions for each mini expansion that would be great. If you feel like so, then could you formulate 2-3 sentences for each mini expension about describing what makes the mini expension? It conveys only a first impression... We would be happy, if you could support us there!

the native English speaking moderators - please help with the correct wording - kettlefish

CundCo - Mini-Erweiterungen (Mini-Expansions) - we need the help especially for the Carcassonne mini-expansions.

Quizzes, Puzzles and Challenges / Meeple Tile Tower - a small contest
« on: August 13, 2015, 09:45:21 AM »
A small contest: Meeple Tile Tower

Build a meeple tile tower - start 3 meeples - a tile - 3 meeples - a tile and so on.
Please use the standard follower and landscape tiles.

Who will build the highest tower?

This game is a part of Carcassonne-on-Tour (CoT). At the CoT events the people have 3 minutes time to build such tower. It would be nice if you tell us how long do you need for your own meeple tile tower.

In autumn there will come the next Carcassonne spin-off game:

Carcassonne - Über Stock und Stein

"über Stock und Stein" is a German phrase many translators says "over hill and dale" - but in this game you don't have hills or dales. It is more like a phrase for "across country".

Scott has posted at CarcC facebook some more information

and from TricTrac France are also some information

and at the Homepage from Klaus-Jürgen Wrede is also a short information

The graphics artist is: Doris Matthäus

Today I've read some interesting things about a KickStarter project from QueenGames.

Kingdom Builder - Expansion 3 - Marshes

The author of the game Kingdom Builder is Donald X. Vaccarino. (he is also the author of Dominion - publisher RGG).

The author talked at BoradGameGeek (BGG) about his trouble with the publisher QueenGames - here are some links to BGG:

Kingdom Builder: Marshlands Stealth Announced, Put on Kickstarter, Canceled

Queen hasn't paid DonnyX for KB since 2014, so maybe think twice before backing the KS?

Donald X.: The contract expires if they haven't published the expansion by June 30 2015
