At the Carcassonne-Forum was an interesting question:

The 3 points from the Wind Rose - when does it take place during in a turn?
- draw and place a tile
- move wood
- scoring

Does the active player receive a Massage if one of his/her counting figures lands at a dark field on the scoring board - here the 3 points from the Wind Rose?

The Wind Roses are prizes for all the members here in the community.
We like to have an active forum where the people talk together.

Some examples for how you can get your very own copy of the "Wind Roses":
- session reports
- pictures of a good game of Carcassonne
- pictures of a game of Carcassonne with wrong placed tiles, where other members have to search for the mistake
- the collaborative expansions
- interesting questions about the rules

Not all members need to wait till CundCo will have the "Wind Roses" in their Shop.

Many people around the world can't go to the events from "Carcassonne-on-Tour".
Now we have our own "Carcassonne-on-Tour" here in the forum.

I make this thread, because the German Carcassonne-Forum (CarcF) was grown up during the last months.
CarcF was born in the downtime from CarcC. Maik (maik63de) talked with Moritz Brunnhofer at the "Spiel 2012" in Essen about his thought to make a German forum. Some days later we were online with CarcF.

Some historical information:
We German only have had in the years 2008-2012 the "HiG-Chat". That is the comments function at the homepage from HiG - Carcassonne. There you can't modify your post also you can't search. The HiG-Chat is not really comfortable.
In 2010 the people at the HiG-Chat like to make an own German forum, but no one says: "OK I will be the admin..." The people like to have the forum direct from HiG - but the people at HiG have no time for such things.

The years before (the end was in 2008) we had the old homepage for Carcassonne. We asked the people about rules questions and got the answers. I think Georg Wild was answering. That means we didn't need any forum, because we had this side.
Matt Harper translated the old FAQ's from German to English in the past for CarcC.

News and Events / Officially Invitation from HiG to the "Hobby and Spiel" in Leipzig

My post at CarcF:
Here comes some news which I like to report to the community at CarcC, but the forum is still not working.

Now CarcC is working again...

Udo Schmitz (Carcassonne-on-Tour) sent an e-mail to Maik and me:
(free interpretation of that e-mail)

Maik (maik63de - Admin CarcF and member at CarcC) and I (moderator at CarcF and CarcC) - we both get an officially invitation from: HIG, Klaus-Juergen Wrede and Udo Schmitz to the exhibition "Hobby and Spiel" in Leipzig at 04.10.2013.
We will be guests for the award of the best graphic designed game this year - "Graf Ludo" (one could be "Bruegge").
Talk with all the graphic artists and authors and the publishers, having lunchtime with Klaus-Juergen Wrede and all the others, walk around through the halls of the exhibition, and the evening with dinner in the special glass hall.

Today I called with HiG - Moritz Brunnhofer and also I called with Udo Schmitz:
I will get the invitation in my letter box in the next days...

News and Events / The Surprising Package

The surprising package was an idea from Udo Schmitz - Carcassonne-on-Tour.
He sent me a big "surprising package".
My job is it to send all the pieces to the members of our community (CarcC+CarcF).
Maik63de (Admin at CarcF) and I were making a plan "who gets a package" and we informed Scott about our thoughts.
Then I called with HiG - Moritz Brunnhofer. He told me that HiG are paying all the shipping costs.

The surprising package is a complete gift from our cooperation:
 "We say thank you for all your work in the community of Carcassonne"

SPIEL in Essen means: Four days of fun, meeting friends, playing and testing thousands of games and novelties together with gamers from all over the world. On these pages we provide you with all important informations for visitors and exhibitors. Plans of the halls and an exhibitor's list for SPIEL will be online about 10 days before the beginning of the fair, a list of all new game releases on the day before the fair.
For more information see one of the links above.

This year is different than the years before, because the fair takes place in the halls 1-3.
Not only the visitors have become new orientation also the exhibitors have not their ancestral estates this year because the complete exhibition will take place in the other halls .

Anyone Going?
Sometimes it is good to know if anyone local is attending the convention. Anyone going? Potential for a Carcassonne Meet 'n' Greet.

Here are some Examples with the Robber and the Messages:

The situation:
Robber BLUE - Scoring figures: Follower RED and Woman Follower RED - The Woman Follower stands on the same space as the Robber - the follower stands on a different space.
RED scores points for a road (3 points) and for a city (6 points)

Each feature scores separated. RED decided with which of his/her scoring figures is moving on the scoring board. BLUE receives only robber-points for the first moving of scoring points from the scoring figure which stands on the same space as the Robber - here it is the Woman Follower.

That means follows:

First Woman Follower scores 3 points for the road. After that the Follower scores 6 points for the city. Then the Robber robs a half of the points from the Woman Follower- 2 Points.

First Follower scores 3 points for the road. After that the Woman Follower scores 6 points for the city. Then the Robber robs a half of the points from the Woman Follower- 3 Points.

First Woman Follower scores 3 points for the road. After that the Woman Follower scores 6 points for the city. Then the Robber robs a half of the points for the road (the first score) from the Woman Follower- 2 Points.

First Follower scores 3 points for the road. After that the Follower scores 6 points for the city. Then the Robber robs nothing from RED because the Follower was not on the same space as the Robber.

Heute findet von 18 - 22 Uhr ein "Meet and Greet" mit dem Autor Klaus-Juergen Wrede im Haus des Kurgastes statt. Neben einer Signierstunde koennen auch neue Carcassonne-Varianten getestet werden. Der Eintritt ist kostenlos!

Today a "meet and greet" will take place from 6 pm to  10 pm with the author Klaus-Juergen Wrede in the House of the patient. In addition to signing new Carcassonne variants can be tested. Admission is free!

The 2. Carcassonne fan meetings in the West take place at the castle "Burg Konradsheim" in Erftstadt .

There are 40 meeples in the Carcassonne basic game.

Solution:
Over 14.3 million meeples were produced in 2012.

The rule - page 2:

...As long as that Fortune Teller remains on the tile (until the tile has tiles on all four sides), that player will draw two tiles at the beginning of every turn. The player must choose which of those two tiles they would like to place. The tile that is not chosen is reshuffled with the remaining tiles.

...that player will draw two tiles at the beginning of every turn
Does that mean at the beginning of every turn from each player?

The player must choose which of those two tiles they would like to place.
Does that mean that the player decided which tile each player is able to place?

Does that mean as long as the Fortune Teller remains on the tile, only the owner of the Fortune Teller draws tiles (two for each beginning of every turn) for all the players and decided which tile they (the other players) could place?

Here comes the dictionary for the world of the game Carcassonne - German/English.

It is not a typical dictionary a-z. It is a thematically dictionary.

I am working at the Carcassonne-Forum to make this dictionary.

explanations:
example: Goldstück - gold piece (CAR) / gold ingot (ZMG)

Goldstück - this is the German word in bold

gold piece (CAR) / gold ingot (ZMG) - the English word (where I have found it)

News and Events / ebay trader sells CornCircles II as a punched sheet

A German ebay trader sells CornCircles II as a 6-tile punched sheet.

I called and wrote some emails with HiG - Georg Wild, today.
He said that HiG had never published the CornCircles II as a 6-tile punched sheet. So the ebay tader is doing illegal things.

Please members report this to ebay.

And again - you all have to be careful with all the ebay traders who sells such suspect things.

If you are not sure, then ask before you buy it.

At the moment the HiG-Shop CundCo don't sell the CornCircles I. But wait, perhaps in some month we have it there again.

Only the CornCircles I were published as a 6-tile punched sheet by HiG.
