Maybe it depends from the publisher?

This is a recurring problem, some major expansions do also have lighter/darker backs.

We use a tower dispenser and everyone is drawing from the same pile until it is emptied, then everyone is drawing tiles from the second pile (you can do the same without tower dispenser), so that you can't choose a specific light/dark tile. :yellow-meeple:

As an alternative, you can buy a 20 anniversary bag, but I suggest you use a bag only if your tiles are sleeved.

Hunters and Gathers and 20th Anniversary in the pic…

Dual purpose expansion?

I don't think so, the junior edition is also on the picture and the rules are so different it'd be difficult to make a single mini working for those three editions. Plus the cards are showing cities and monasteries, that wouldn't work with hunters and gatherers nor with the junior edition  :-\

We just finished creating our gaming table by "hacking" our dining table.

Wow, this one looks really great, I might try to do the same !

We currently use a dining table (same as the one in the link above) with a homemade side plank to make it wider to play megacarc  :yellow-meeple:

How well do sleeved tiles work with maps? -  :pink-meeple:

They fit perfectly.

On the picture from the like below there"s sleeved and unsleeved tiles. Now I play with sleeved tiles only and they fit even better on the map. Unsleeved tiles are smaller than the map cases  :yellow-meeple:

I hous rule it to be automatically scored at the end of the turn  :yellow-meeple:
(for games with some expansions only. It doesn't need any house rule if played with basegame only)

Official Rules / Re: Farmers, Pigs, and Barns
« on: September 02, 2021, 04:09:40 AM »
That's it, and other players may do the same by using your barn too.

Don't forget that you return your pig AND meeple from the farm when scoring it 2pts/city.
To do it again, you have to place a meeple to a new farm, then the pig and connect it to the barn's farm.

Anyway, this is why I never play with the barn, if well used, it is too powerful  :yellow-meeple:

Do not use CAR, it is outdated. Use wikicarpedia.com that is kept updated with the latest clarifications  :yellow-meeple:

It is all clarified on this page: https://wikicarpedia.com/index.php/Abbey_and_the_Mayor

In "Other expansions" section:
Quote
If you have the majority in a field where a barn is placed, you score 1 additional point per completed city (4 points total) if your pig is in that field. Furthermore, if you have the majority in a field that becomes connected to a field occupied by a barn, you score 1 additional point per completed city (2 points total) if your pig is in that field.

Your interpretation seems correct for every cases (1 and 2 plus 4 pts when placing a barn and 2 pts when connecting a field with a barn)  :yellow-meeple:

Did you verify on wikicarpedia.com? I'm pretty sure those cases are clarified there  :yellow-meeple:

Using wooden figures makes the game look better and protects the tokens  :yellow-meeple:

You can see all of my figures on this post:
https://www.carcassonnecentral.com/community/index.php?topic=495.msg78497#msg78497

I use the castles as toll (tollkeepers mini). Also coffins and crosses for the plague, swords and crowns for king and robber, a rabbit for Easter in Carcassonne, some flags to mark bathhouses position, and houses as La Porxada markers.

You'll find links to see those figures in action here:

Oh, and does the plague also affect neutral figures (all made of flesh), or only player's figures?

Very interesting, thanks  :yellow-meeple:

What about messenger and saint-nicolas double turns? And... 20 anniversary?

I guess, same for tower buyback and tunnel token placement, it may be repeated with messenger and Saint-Nicholas turns since they are "full" turns, but not with builder and 20 anniversary?
