Nice package Whaleyland!

Today I received this short strategic game that has been out of print for a while. It comes from a small Finnish publisher who re-released back in 2019. I missed it!

Nothing official.  You should take a look at the Carcassonne Star Wars spin-off through.

Most Team variants I've tried are 4 players.  Were people alternate, their turns and just sum their scores together.

We ran a Dream Team tournament a few yonks back:

Very nice Meepledrone! I hope you enjoy it.

I also had a delivery today. After waiting several months for delivery, I had to give the notorious Queen Games a kick. In all fairness they've been better in recent years.... ish.

Orderes front and centre and got sent the LHS as a token of good will.

I got to try Winter Kingdom at the VUKGE last year with RichTheFish and rather enjoyed it.  Looking forward to playing this again soon.

Just to round this topic out:
1) HiG aren't making anyone buy the new edition.
2) If changing the art, encourages people, or a broader range of people, to play the game, then great.
3) The designer did state that their original plan was to have a range of people represented, but this was accidentally lost during the design process.
4) I agree that our games should, and do, represent us.

Drodo won't be able to reply for a few days after their last post.
But I won't be deleting posts, I'm happy for the world to see people's opinions.

...Still wishing for some Chicken Selects

Please post this type of thing in the market place.

I'm never a fan of helping taut the wares of these types of seller on the forum.

If you've ever taken goods to a CashConverters, they always open the box up to check that everything's inside.

What's the point of having an unopened copy of a first edition, to find out it's missing the score track, or the meeple :D

Other Games / Fire & Stone

Just a heads up for those who follow Klaus-J├╝rgen Wrede's other games:

In Fire & Stone, players lead their tribe through the Stone Age. They scout new lands, harvest nuts and mushrooms, and finally build villages. The aim of the game is to have the most successful tribe by exploring new lands, building huts, and gathering resources. With the invention of new tools and techniques like ship building or pottery, the expansion of your tribe can even be accelerated.

Each space the scouts can enter contains upside-down discover tokens. When a scout moves on one of those tokens for the first time, the token is revealed and triggers an effect. From now on these tokens can be used as a player action with a different effect. By the end of the game, the player who made the most victory points with villages and accomplishing tasks wins.

Coming from Pegasus Spiel later this year. Essen perhaps?

I've got a subscription, so if anyone would rather wait and find out, my English copy will be here soon.

I've quite enjoyed receiving Speilbox over the last year.  They often have very accurate reviews, the time and analysis of games has been excellent, and helped me pick and choose a few games of interest.  I like their interviews, rule variants, and kid's game reviews too.

Drodo, you're opinions on this matter are utterly unwelcome.
And attempting to hyperbolize Diversity by referencing what you consider fringe cases is even less so.

Perhaps rather than simply considering your own feelings, you could consider how a member of this community who is black, or transgender, or even exploring their gender, or a woman, would feel after reading your bigotry.

This community supports board gamers. And does not condone the use of derogatory, marginalizing, or hateful language, including statements including age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability.

Hopefully you can find a rock to crawl behind from an ever decreasing pool.

Carcassonne Central is not one of these rocks.

Granted... but they're out of bagels and hashbrowns.

I wish for some Chicken Selects.

Granted. But the art work on the front has changed 3 times, so you won't be able to use them for a while yet, and unfortunately your copy didn't come with a rule book.

I wish for an air conditioner.

Granted. But it comes in a blue box.  There's a meeple sticker sheet. An extended river. And a small mini-expansion that triggers when you place tiles next to each other.  The tiles include Easter eggs of HiGs other favour games, and each tile has UV-spot on important features.  This now becomes the base game for the new edition of Carcassonne, and there are no good ideas for the 20th anniversary  :'(

I wish the Winter edition had another mini-expansion.

Reopening this post, but wanted to mention that Underworlds is now on Steam, and it's free this weekend.

Warbands are DLC which sucks, they're 40-50% off this weekend.  But if you were interested the base game includes two warbands, so you can give it a try.

I'm not quite sure you're following but in the spirit of the game, we'll continue,  hopefully Dkmvs will have another chance to make a wish soon.

Granted. Unfortunately you can't find a table big enough. So the players pack the game away.

I wish everyone understood the rules.
