The Variant Registry is the world's largest and most comprehensive listing of homebrew variants for Carcassonne and related games. Our community members, players just like you, volunteer to maintain it for the benefit of all. For more information:

• List View - This is the easiest way to get a list of variants by category. If there is no download link, that usually means you can find the entire instructions in the detail view.
• Detail View - Once you have found a few variants that interest you, use the detail view to read more about them.
• Game List - A list of the games that variants can be written for.
• Expansion List - A list of the Carcassonne expansions that variants can work with.
• Characteristics - This is a way to categorize the variants. For instance, if you want to play Carcassonne with young children but don't think they are ready to play with the full rules, you could go to Variant Registry from the main menu, select List View, and choose "Simplifies Rules" from the filter at the top of the list.  This will change the list to show only those variants that simplify the rules, and in it you will find rule sets appropriate for young children.
