It could be called competition mode or something

Had a good game against Carcking last night. He pays very well and we were battling for a good City. When I finally had control of it though he managed to place tiles to make completing it impossible, much to my disgust. He then tried to get in on my farms but I managed to keep the numbers on the big Farm and equalise with him on the small ones.
Only 2 games to go in the group now.

You played well.  A lot of it was the luck of the draw - most times, I am on your side of the luck!

Very interesting situation in group standings! If Gerry wins both remaining games then everyone will have 6 points!
What happened with our friend from Venezuela?

I contacted him through email and we agreed that it was in the competition's best interests for him to give up his place and let someone else play instead. Hopefully he will be able to join us in the next competition...

The second last game in Group A was played today, with the newcomer triumphing over the most distant player!

Gerry VS Andrew the Ambo - 87:84, with Gerry winning.

Details, including Leader Board and screen captures, are available at:

One more game, and Group A will be complete.

Personally, the MOST surprising thing about this group is the current standings!  Lots of good game play with some great people.

I made the mistake of putting out all my meeples. Gerry managed to get in on my farm, and I could not get it back. My bad.

It makes the permutations interesting. I need Gerry to win by between 7 and 127 points to get through. Over 127, and Gerry goes through. Less that 7 and Carcking goes through. As for top and second qualifiers......

This has been a great group to compete in.

GO GERRY!!!! RA RA RA.  :(y)

it was close - two of the CCCC tiles were discarded at the start of the game - made it difficult to complete a large city.

Gerry and Carcking finished the competition for Group A.

Final score:  Carcking 160 - Gerry 135.

This means that Carcking takes the #1 spot in Group A!

Congratulations to Carcking for the win.

Congratulations to all for some great games!
