Giant Carcassonne Tiles!
« Reply #45 on: September 26, 2018, 06:10:24 PM »
I have been on holiday and came home to a set today! I haven't unwrapped them yet and am contemplating the best storage solutions.
Anyone have an idea on how best to store these!?
I stored mine in my Catapult box. Was looking for my Tower box but couldn’t find it. Perfect length and height for the tiles in 3 stacks, with a little extra width that I used part of the insert from that box to take up.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give that a try!

The big box should be large enough ::)

So I bought a couple sets of these as well and I would like to buy some super size meeples for these. Does anyone have an idea where to buy super sized meeple sets that would work well with these tiles. I am thinking four player version only: Blue, Green, Red, Yellow.

Thanks in advance.

Meeplesource used to do "Giant" and "Colossal" meeples which would be perfect but I don't think they've been in stock for a while now. Other than that I'm not sure what to suggest. How are your woodwork skills? ;)

Thanks for the info. That would get pricey and over $7/meeple.

My woodwork skills are complete **** but I guess I need to work on them to make this happen.

Indeed it would. Especially if you factor in shipping to the UK which would end up being more than the meeples!

What about 3D Printed meeples?

An accurate model could be scaled to the proper size and printed in any variety of colors. Not the most cost-effective approach, but certainly easier than contending with poor woodworking skills. :)

Also, I'm a bit late to the offer - are giant sets sill available? I'd be all for getting one. And I've got the 3D Printer to make the meeples.

Would wooden meeples be made from maple? if so they'd be maple meeples!  ;D

You could try and track down enough sets of The Phantom and get some use out of the boxes ...

What would you consider the best expansion tiles? Specifically the tiles.
