I won despite not having the gold majority . I've learned my lesson of my previous match and started a little more slowly using my meeples. But still, we both locked 4 meeples in 2 citys. I was able to free one of them, and that enabled me to claim some smaller cities and roads. In the end, I made a mistake where I forgot that I was out of meeples, which gave Khalid 2 extra gold and finished a road for him. Luckely for me my advantage was big enough to secure the win. Thanks Khalidqasrawi for the close game.

We can also form groups of 6 in the second phase, which would give everybody 10 games. That's a nice amount

IMHO, 3 groups of 6 now works better. It means skill plays a big role. Too few games in the first phase implies the final ranking will be too much affected by the magic word "luck".

You can have 3 groups of 6 now, lets say A,B,C and than in the second phase, you could have also three groups:
Gold = A1,A2,B1,B2,C1,C2
Silver = A3,A4,B3,B4,C3,C4
Bronze = A5,A6,B5,B6,C5,C6
