Hi Whaleyland, I play the Wheel of Fortune a lot and I like the fact that you have to work hard to combine farms.  All too often with the start tile there is a dominant farm etc.
So I would pair WOF with the bridges from the 8th major expansion if you wanted to give everyone the chance to amalgamate farms to their advantage.
As for the Witch and Mage, I love their concept but with only 8 tiles it is rare that features are scored more than twice in a game, especially as I avoid trying to complete a feature with the witch in it in the hope that I can shift her first.  It is fun to complete an opponents city/road and get them half points which leads me to suggest pairing the Witch and the Mage with the Count, King and Robber as it gives an ideal opportunity to place a meeple in the city.

The tiles exist so we gotta have them. I do anyway.

I like Flyers with Princess and the Dragon and The Plague for the same reasons as the Tower.  I sometimes use the magic portals instead of The Flyers with the Tower and Plague as an alternative because it takes the luck of the dice out of the equation.

I enjoy the Gold Rush variant of Carcassonne. The scoring is significantly different and the strategies are different too. I haven't purchased the sheriff yet but I definitely plan to do so. I wonder if the addition of the graveyards will mean that it will seem like there are not enough meeples.

I am toying with the idea of creating tiles for standard Carcassonne with French city names on road junction tiles so I can add this as my latest home made expansion. I will get the atlas out to ensure cities in the correct region in France are used.

Hi Decar,

I'm up for these tiles too, and I'm UK based.

cheers Halfling

I'm on holiday at the moment.  Unable to access JCZ.

I'd like to see a sister document.  The fan expansions that I have looked at on Carc Central are definitely worthy of publication.
I've created a few expansions of my own but not sure they'd be good enough but I'd happily offer them up for consideration.

Just ordered a copy from Wayland Games for £17.00

It is a great film, I'll have to get a set of Totoro for my Sister-in-Law as she introduced us to these Japanese films.

Only 246 for me.

Gutted!  My parcel from Cundco arrived today and one of the items is missing........would you believe it is the 3 sets of Halb so wild II!  How ironic.  I've sent a message to the service@ email address so I'm sure they'll sort me out as soon as possible.

My nephew and gaming buddies will just have to wait a week or so!
