Ahh, thank you Oz.

Was poking around on Amazon (as part of a game blinging project), saw that Festival did get a 15th year Anniversary reprint, nothing new it looks like except for those that adopted the new artstyle.  Maybe a leak as I don't see Festival 15 on Cundco yet.

Pretty much, Dirk.  Also, Z-man hasn't been able to keep up with other international games either.  Marco Polo's reprint has been delayed for awhile now.  But yeah, America JUST got Princess and Dragon, at around Halloween by my best guess.

Though, you have to make sure that your phantoms are distinct enough to look different to a regular meeple, coming from someone who got a bunch of meeps from MeepleSource and used 6 of them for the Phantoms.

2 notable events in 2016: playing the game with someone that enjoyed it so much that they bought a copy themselves and getting signed up to demo Carc this past monday.  Granted, the demo happened this year, but still.

I wonder what the new changes are, Kettlefish.  Since  I was last on the forums my copy of the new edition has become a perennial fave for both my FLGS's game nights and my family, both in and out of town  :)

I'm down with either using the abbot or a flower for the Carc 2 dividers.  The abbot is more prominently featured on the Carcassonne 2 box than gardens are, but I can understand the argument for the flower too.

I think Z-man uses Carcassonne 2 on the website, at least at one point

It really is, Dirk.  The day I ordered the Carc2 versions of the first 2 expansions and the Broken Token insert, I caught wind of the CON tiles for Suburbia being released, so I ordered that and the Promo roles for Pandemic.  At the very least, the Con tiles don't add any new rules to the game, just a new Synergy.  I'm doing a variant of Pandemic Promo roles where it applies to EVERY PLAYER in the game instead of just the promo role, just like how it is set up in Forbidden Desert.  The only change I have to make for a normal role is the Quarantine Specialist: She still takes a wound if she's in the same situation that everyone else is in (Infection card gets drawn during the infect phase of a turn or during an epidemic), but everything else applies to her (No cube is added to her city and if there's a quarantine marker there it doesn't get reduced or removed).  I will say that the promo role cards for Pandemic is much bigger than I anticipated, MUCH larger than a Tarot card (most of the cards in Elder Sign, for instance)

I'm curious what they're going to change in regards to the dragon while the big guy is in motion in its expansion (coming up next) and once The Tower comes into the mix.

With when I got into Carcassonne, as well as my first set missing the meeples, I chose the 'cheaper' option at MeepleSource and got 50 meeples.  With that, I painted 40 of them for a normal set and had 12 left to do whatever with, so with a mirror ball top coat 6 of the remainder became phantoms.  Of course, after I completed the set of my custom phantoms (right after I painted them on the friday the postman came with my Carc 2 stuff) I saw a set of 8 clear that I could have used to do a phantom set too, but I'm all out of money in my bank XD (some of it went towards some promos on BGG for other games that I own and some of it went to a deck of cards from Artscow for a PNP game that I got from BGG and want to complete)

Umm, yeah, I still live.  I recently picked up the Carc 2 base game set and then went and ordered the first 2 expansions (C2) and the Broken Token Insert.  After assembling it I put the expansions in the box with the whole hand painted Phantoms thing I did ages ago.  I stuck the Traders tokens and the phantoms in a baggie and I put them in a 6 tile big compartment in the insert, leaving room for other expansions when they get reprinted.  Will take a photo later

I'm currently on with enough time for a game or two if there's anyone else on in my group  :red-meeple:

Just to let the rest of Group C know, I'm back in town and ready for some more tournament Carc

So, Halfling and I decided to finish season 1 of the welcome tourney wasn't my best game

Yeah, have to go with Basically Wooden's designs, but curse my lack of (substantial) income and being in the states.  Most recently I ordered some stuff online for a game I'm making.

But yeah, for those that haven't seen it yet, here's my painted meeple set from awhile ago.  nothing too fancy, really

They do custom inserts for games that have inserts that are in the 'quite lacking' category.  They also do a dice tower, deck trays for keeping cards organized (2 4s would be perfect for the base Catan game (1 for each resource (5), 1 for the development deck and its discard, and 1 to hold the achievement tiles) for example), and some customized resource bits.  Games that they have done inserts for include the King Of series, Suburbia, Caverna, and 7 wonders.  Though, their solution is a bit limited if you own a standard Carc box and Big Box 5 or additional player sets as their meeple tray only has 6 dividers.
