Castles of Burgundy
« on: November 20, 2015, 11:50:13 AM »
Just recently picked this up as it was on sale for half price ($20 US) on Amazon.  Being a BGG top 10 game, I couldn't pass it up at that price.  I've played it a couple times and like it pretty well.  Looking forward to a few more plays to really get the feel of it.  Anyone else play it

I've been thinking of picking it up, since it's so highly rated.  Would love to hear from someone who's played it.

EDIT: looks like that sale is over already. well phoo.

My wife and I like to play it quite a bit.  We usually just played Carcassonne two player but recently started looking for some other games.

I like that the game feels as if you have so many choices, and no matter what you can eek out some points during your turn.  Also the workers save the game from suffering from too much luck due to dice.

Really recommend it for anyone that likes Carcassonne or Catan, its great with two players, I played it once with four but I was teaching everyone so I am not sure if it is better with more players or not.

I have 30 plays logged for Castles of Burgundy. It plays very well with 2, 3, or 4 players. The game play is clever and engaging and the game is relatively quick and does not overstay its welcome. A very solid deign in my books with lots of replay-ability. I even recommend picking up the small expansions and promos for the game.
