Does Cundco still have die Belagerer? I thought they sold out a while back!
Do you have a link to the page?
Good find!

Oh shoot, that was a typo.  I'm going to edit my post.   :'(   :(n)

Die Belagerer was from Halfling here on the forum.   :(y)

Received a good size order today.

Element: up to 4-player abstract. Looks to have a little bit of a similarity to the classic Go, (but not). Nice production and a nice draw bag. One basically tries to surround the opposing players pawn with pips of different colours and (elemental) powers.

Right now I most look forward to trying Port Royal. I wanted to own the Pegasus Spiele edition before we are overrun with the upcoming Steve Jackson North American release. I’m sure that edition will be fine but from what I’ve seen I prefer the original artwork by Klemens Franz and Atanas Lozanski

Also like the look and game weight (complexity) of the Mayfair 2-player Trambahn
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/175293/trambahn

I’ve passed up on Notre Dame in the past so I’m glad I waited for the 10th anniversary reprint which I understand includes an expansion and promos.

Expedition: Northwest Passage
Has two of my favourite game play elements, tile laying and set collection. It seems to have a similarity to Akrotiri.
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/71074/expedition-northwest-passage

From the BGG description:

“As the game progresses, the seasons will pass and parts of the sea will be frozen, blocking the way for the ships. Players acquire victory points by gathering clues, mapping the area, and – of course – discovering the Northwest Passage. However, in order to claim victory, one has to come back home to the Greenland on time!”

Wanna play Carc? Can we add just one more expansion?

Amazing haul!

I played Port Royale with Rich the Fish a few months ago.  I really liked it, though I couldn't quite remember the rules when trying to convince my wife to play.

Elements looks like my kinda abstract game, it looks great and the North West Passage looks intriguing too.  Looking forward to hearing a review!

Amid the excitement of spending 6 hours playing games with Decar/ Tom last Saturday, I almost forgot to post here to show off all the things he has been collecting for me since we last caught up in person last October!

Many thanks to Tom for always thinking of me when he's ordering so that he can share the postage, and for not being too quick to chase me for payment (I still owe him for Expansion #10 :-[)

Just in case it isn't obvious from the picture there is:

Colt Express (love this game)
Carcassonne 2.0 basegame + Festival
Carcassonne: Travel Edition (at last!)
Carcassonne 2.0 Expansion #10 (the circus one)
Big bag of "ice meeple" prototypes from Carcatron (collected via Tom when he was in the US)

Not pictured: Mint Works (although that was a gift as he had a spare)

Cheers dude! :) :(y)

It's nice to have some shelf space back....but I seemed to have filled it with Quadropolis  ;D ;D

Jungleboy - looking forward to your thoughts on both these games - '5 minute dungeon' is a ridiculously silly.

These games have fascinated me since I first heard about them. True story-telling games. It just sounds amazing and unlike anything else on the market. I almost backed the last KS but funds are short and I could not justify it at the time (not that that stopped me from backing Brass, lol).

Above and Below is a solid game and easy to pick up but the stories are not combined into a greater narrative, more like one off adventures.
In Near and Far the stories are supposed to form part of a greater adventure playable through several scenarios.

I stored up some packages so I'd have something to open today.  Then we took a trip to our FLGS.  Unfortunately, no dice to roll - but that didn't stop us buying a few additions:

A few more coming in today!

Excited for both these titles. Lorenzo Il Magnifico is by the designers of our favourites, Grand Austria Hotel. I like what I've seen of the play throughs. https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/203993/lorenzo-il-magnifico There have been production complaints about this CMON North American release but I've gone through my copy and it seems to be ok. The larger cards look a little thin but I usually sleeve cards anyway.

First Class was originally published by HiG and looks to be the kind of game my wife and I enjoy.

Also picked up Metro in the same delivery. It was part of a Queen game sale at a low price. It's a tile placement / route building game that seems to have a similarity to Tsuro. Looks like it will be good quick game for my lunch time group at work. It was on the SDJ recommended list in 2000.
