I actually played a real-life game of Carcassonne this evening at my wife's suggestion! We decided to keep things simple and went for base game + river so I decided to use the new artwork tiles as I haven't used them for a while. Since I took a photo of the final board, I thought I'd post it here just for the sake of it really...

Despite her winning the huge city to the West for 36 points, I placed several early farmers which made all the difference in the final scoring.
Final scores were:
:red-meeple: - 125
:blue-meeple: - 147

You and your pesky farming :p
Looks like a fun game; though, very organized.

I must say, I wasn't considering the new artwork to look bad judging on pictures of single tiles, but when put together to a complete game, the old one for sure looks better.
