I found expansion 9 (Sheeps and Hills/Schafe und Hügel) box cover for the new edition :)
It is very low-resolution but gives an idea about the box cover.

Yeah, the sheep is very prominent. This was one of my favourite box art expansions in the old art.

Besides the scary sheep in the front, i actually really like the art work on the shepherd and his dog looks nice.

Meanwhile, Z-Man have still only printed the first three expansions in the new art in English. :(
I've been trying to wait for them, but it's getting a bit ridiculous.

same here, ive officially purchase all of the other expansion in German and printing the English rules off downloaded pdf's cannot wait for Z-man any longer.

It's slight better than that, as Abbey & Mayor is also released. But yes, in general the wait is tedious.

That's the last of large expansions (except catapult of course). Next is wheel of fortune and 6 minis and big box. Wonder if they'll do any more of the small expansions.

A slightly better resolution image - I can confirm the shepherd is not holding a handgun. However the dog has enormous pointy ears

My Question is mainly related to the Dog.... does the dog on the box indicate that we might get some new dog tokens to protect our flock as there was never a dog on the original old art box?? like some of the fan expansions?

We didnt see any giantess added to Princess & Dragon, nor horses added to Inns & Cathedrals.

Haha, thanks Decar for the obvious, why I asked was due to the King,Count,Robber II that had its 12 Carcassonne tiles turned to 2 and the robber and king markers added. a pleasant surprise in the box.

The 'dog' is the wolf, which already has tokens.

I'm pretty sure it's meant to be the wolf. It doesn't make any sense for the artist to have drawn a dog (which is not in the expansion) and to have left out the wolf (which is in the expansion). Maybe it's just not a great drawing of a wolf.

I think we're over thinking this...it's quite common for shepherds to have sheepdogs.
Let's be honest, it makes as much sense as putting a horse on the cover of 'Inns and Cathedrals' or 'The Tower' and as much sense as not putting a wolf on the original 'Hills & Sheep' expansion.

The horse is on the I&C cover because you needed horses to travel to inns. And there is a wolf hiding in the bushes on the original Hills and Sheep cover.

But over thinking it is half of the fun thats why we have a forum to discuss it on....... but Decar if it'll make you happy we can organize some wooden meeples for you.... haha

Nice - the German rule book is not finished yet - so that would be a long wait for this expansion for you.

Care to elaborate? I re-read this whole thread and didn't see anything that would be a problem for the CAR. What did I miss?
