Two very tight games against LaplazadeCarcassonne tonight. The first went to plan, but I am really badly out of form with farm battles and got stuffed on this one by 4 to 3 after a tense struggle the whole game.
Bien hecho mi amigo. Que te vaya bien en todos tus juegos que viene!

I lost both of my games tonight! Not sure how it happened, but it did. Hopefully I get better tiles in the next game. Well played Sinscerly and best of luck with the rest of your games.

I am very sorry for the delay in starting this guys, but real life got in my way for a week or so. We are now ready to begin.
Please remember that this is designed to be Fun and Friendly, so please ensure that it is competed in that fashion. If you are struggling to play your fixtures for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible, so that I can make suitable arrangements with the rest of the players.
Players and Chosen Expansions
Chooselife - The Tower Halfling - The Count Piet_Agoras - The Phantom Maj. Frost - Princess & Dragon Singing Dwarf - Traders and Builders Sinscerly - Inns & Cathedrals TheSteveAllen - Ferries
Fixtures
Each player is to play a single two-person game of Carcassonne using JCloisterZone against each of the other players in the division. The starting date will be today Friday 8th March 2019 and all games must be played and the results posted on this thread before midnight GMT on Friday 17th May 2019. The starting player in each case will be chosen at random.
The tile set for each game will consist of the base game and each of the competitors' chosen expansions, i.e. two expansions are to be used in every match.
The Division
As a result of each match, each player will be awarded league points according to the following rules:-
Most game points for roads – 1 point Most game points for cities – 1 point Most game points for cloisters – 1 point Most game points for farms – 1 point Most game points overall (formerly referred to as 'a win') – 1 point Tying any of the above with opponent – 0.5 points
This means that all matches have 5 points available to be distributed to the two players.
A league table with points gained from matches played will be maintained and regularly posted to this thread by the tournament organiser.
The top ranked two players after all matches have been played will be declared 'Champion' and 'Runner-up' respectively. The highest ranked two players will be eligible for promotion.
In addition to the Champion and Runner-up, the following will be awarded:-
The Brave Brigand – the player with the most league points for roads The Knoble Knight – the player with the most league points for cities The Crafty Cleric – the player with the most league points for cloisters The Fruitful Farmer – the player with the most league points for farms The Triumphant Tiler – the player with the most league points for winning games
After each match, it is the winner's responsibility to ensure that the result is posted to this thread clearly showing the points awarded separately for Roads, Cloisters, Cities and Farms.
This season, in the event of a tie on points, the league order will be firstly selected according to number of games won, followed by points difference. This is a minor change from the last season's rules.

Hey hey.
Apologies for not posting sooner, but I assumed Leven was going to do the write-up as he was the winner and that's kind of become the tradition. But anyway, this game went just as badly (for me) as my last game, with the final result being that Leven won everything apart from Farms (4 - 1).
I don't think this combination of expansions (Tunnels + Besiegers) made for an especially exciting game. The inclusion of Tunnels introduced the risk that if you had a meeple on an open-ended road then it could be permanently trapped in the event that your opponent draws a tunnel tile, places it at the end of the road and claims the tunnel. This was a risk that neither of us seemed prepared to take so road scoring was low. Other than this, my limited knowledge of Tunnels and the fact that it includes just 4 tiles meant that I didn't have a lot of interactions with them.
The other thing was that all of the Besiegers tiles seemed to come out early which reduced the significance of this expansion in the second half of the game.
The overall points winner of the game was undecided until the last couple of tiles where Leven needed the final ffff cloister to tie the main farm. I had a backup plan which involved joining another farmer of mine onto the field to retain my majority even in the event that Leven did draw the cloister he needed. However, he was able to mitigate this risk before I'd drawn the tile I needed to exploit it, and then drew the cloister he needed for 9 easy points and a tied farm.
Another tile that we both needed was the final cccf which I hoped I'd be able to use to join Leven's uncompleteable city to an adjacent besieged city rendering it worthless and reducing his final score by 10 (at risk of him utilising the cloister next to the besieger tile to get his meeple back if he so desired). However, this also went to Leven which allowed him to increase the value of his city and win himself another point for most city points in a game that was otherwise fairly even in this respect.
Thanks for the game Leven, and good luck with the rest of the competition!
Do you have the screen shots for me to do the league table please?

Hi All!
I have now come out of exile (hiding from Rosco) and have now put together the first Premiership League Table.
I have not had a chance to check this, so would be grateful if you could check your own scores and let me know if I have any bugs in my program (had to add an extra player to the spreadsheet, so it was untested).
Thanks!

Before anyone goes blaming Rosco for not getting his match played on time, I would like to point out that he has made every possible attempt to play.
Unfortunately, I have been out of the country for a week, at a date that I was only aware of a few days beforehand, and playing on my iPhone was not really possible nor sensible.
Rosco and myself are playing tonight.
My apologies for the delay.
