Do these scores get included in our ELO rating?

I don't know, but it might be a good idea. We need to speak with Jere I believe. I will let you know the outcome.

:violet-meeple: Sinscerly 204 - 352 Thodekey  :blue-meeple:

First game in the final setup and I guess that was more my cup of tea then the SF setup...although I think Sinscerly had a unlucky time.
Lots of things going in with all those expansions but here are those that were the real game changers in my opinion:

- While Sinscerly was building a large city with lots of trade goods in the east, I was building one in the north.  After a while I completed the city in the north with a majority of my meeples which gave me a points lead and some trade goods.  Meanwhile, Sinscerly countered my attempt to tie his city with 2 extra meeples.  I decided not to engage the city battle any further and used a castle to obtain the same points.  I was even lucky to draw the tile that closed that city resulting in sharing the points and obtaining some extra trade goods which gave me a comfortable lead in goods.
- In the end, I succeeded -by sheer luck and some more free meeples then Sinscerly at that time- in taking over the main farm as well which resulted in the exaggerated final score.

Good luck in your upcoming games, Sinscerly!

PS: we did have the bug with the bazaar tiles once (the bug where there is an auction of 2 identical tiles - in this case the normally unique CFRR tile from traders an builders where the little house near the city has its own road AND bridge over another road - I guess there were two rich, competitive guys in the same region in the southwest almost next to each other) but I don't think it was a game changer here.

Yeah it was a nice game, not really my lucky side. But certainly very fun. :)

Further to the two matches last night, I have now had a chance to bring the table up to date. You will see that we actually have 1 person who has 'qualified' by playing at least 1 match of each configuration so, if no more matches are played, Thodekey will be the winner by default.

Come on guys, we can't have that happening now, can we?

I wouldn't mind Thodekey winning this league: he's very handsome, he's highly intelligent and most of all, he's the most modest men that ever lived.   :D

Do we have any more games planned in this tournament? I am trying to hold off playing my last 2 matches until everyone else has had a chance to catch up a bit, as I really want to be involved in the end of the tournament which, I hope, will be the 'interesting' bit.

I would also appreciate any positive or negative feedback from players on the structure of this tournament too, as I have a feeling that this will not be the only time that a competition like this runs on CarcC.

What a game!  The final combo is epic.  Well halfling had a good start but unfortunately for him i had a good rest of the game.

The final combo is tainted by the fact that I wanted to throw the laptop at the cat with over 100 tiles left.  I have another chance to get to grips with it against JB.  Here's hoping.

We found a bug that may already be known?  After laying a princess and removing a knight we were able to put a phantom knight into that city as the second part of a single turn.  This is specifically 'dirty pool' as per the notes under the phantom expansion in the 7.4 CAR.

I actually laughed out loud at that!  I do agree that it went on a long time but I know that when on the losing side even a base game can feel very long so this must have been excruciatingly long!
