Leagues (including expansion leagues) / Re: 2017 Basegame League - Round 3

Game 1: 97 GLH510  :green-meeple:  (Home match) - WhatIf :black1-meeple: 93
Game 2: 109 WhatIf  :red-meeple: (Home match) - GLH510 :green-meeple: 95

First game was quite competitive. Hard fight for some large cities. Then within the last few tiles i reached a draw at the main farm.

Second one . Early blocked a meeple but one side was still open, so WhatIf added all the crap tiles there. I got all cloisters but missed the main farm (was blocked right before i draw the tile needed, but even with a draw there I would had 1 point to few)

Thanks for this Round!

Marcos had a lot of trouble with the internet connection and smartphone battery.
We played with the Android App.
So no screenshots, only the result:

First Game
GLH510 vs Marcos
162 : 103

Second Game
Marcos vs GLH510

Thank you Marcos that you tried everything to make the games possible.

As Rosco already wrote. Both games are a bit unusual . First game with a good start from Rosco. He was 20 points ahead in between. Then i managed to get all but one cloister and the main farm. Here i had again all the tiles Rosco needed  :(y)

Second game with a good start to block him 4 (and one of mine ) meeples. But then main mistake :-( I got the RRFF tile to connect me again to the 18 point farm and i missed it. I calculated and was 1 point ahead with only 1 tile for Rosco and no meeple free on his side. But then he got a city tile with a pennant ...

Do you like El Grande? I know it's over 20 years old now but I haven't played it and I was thinking about getting the Big Box.

Definitely a great game and worth to get the Big Box, but I don't own "modern" worker-place games so I can't compare them to El Grande.

It could be even a draw, if CarcinFool would place his last tile to complete city in the left lower corner (7 points instead of 6).

No then red would have caputred the field and 6 instead 5 points then for red

It was very close game... I think the turning point was, towards the end of the game, when GLH510 finished a 6-point road to "steal" the baron tile from Grab...

Well played, both of you!

Oh yes it was quite close. Hoped the whole game to complete the huge city, but only lost tiles and meeples there ...
