Title: FS - Instant Carcassonne Collection
Post by: CKorfmann on March 18, 2013, 09:09:49 PM
It is with great remorse that I must offer up my Carcassonne collection to a good home.  It makes me sad to see it sitting on the shelf month after month never seeing the table.  If I get the opportunity to play with anyone, I am usually teaching them and we play WoF as it is still in it's own box.  I may keep it (WoF), but I haven't decided for sure.

I would greatly prefer to keep this collection all together as several expansions are mixed together and would be difficult to seperate.  I'd like to get at least $200 for the whole set.  If you'd like to make an offer, the best way to contact me is by email.  If by some miracle there are more than a few interested people, I can set up an auction.

Some of it is gently and lovingly used, some has never been played.

Here is the inventory to the best of my knowledge:

Carcassonne Big Box 2
Base Game
Inns & Cathedrals
Traders & Builders
Princess & Dragon
Abbey & Mayor
River 2
King
The Count of Carcassonne
The Cult Places

The Tower
The Catapult
Bridges, Castles, & Bazaars
GQ11
Cult, Siege, & Creativity
Tunnels
The Phantom (blue)
The Festival (tiles only)
The River 1
All 6 mini-expansions

Extra Meeples from Meeple Source (full sets):
Brown
Purple
Gold
Green Camo
Orange
Nude

Fan-expanions:
The Kings Gate
The Missionary (one gold painted H&G meeple and a disk in all colors exept Gold, Nude, and Camo)
The Shepherds in the six original colors (one shepherd & five sheep) A labor of love...
The Leper
About 2 dozen tiles from Families (red/yellow pennants)
Cleric and Serf
About 2 dozen individual tiles from the solazy and mathguy expansions and others.
Many extra meeples in the base colors including:
Two H&G huts each
One Discovery meeple each
One Travel Ed. meeple each
One sheep, boar, and cow each (for the Dragon Hunter expansion)
An extra Dragon
A few more odds and ends.

I also have a few less than 500 blank tiles (brown front and back) that were put up for sale a couple years ago by Chri5lynn (?).  I gave a few of them to a friend, no more than 50, but I don't know for sure.  I'm guessing there are about 450 tiles.  These will go seperately.  Make me an offer.

If anyone is intersted, I'm also selling a large Munchkin collection, Flash Point: Fire Rescue, and D-Day Dice.

This is the saddest post on the forums; four great games. :'(

I've been thinking about getting into Munchkin since it was featured on TableTop, but I've yet to make any purchases. I'm interested to know what's in your collection.

It's extensive.  I'll pm you when I get a chance.

Yes, CKorfmann, this is painful as one game fanatic to another. I'm sad to see this. I hope it goes to a good home in any case.

Thanks for your kind words gents.

I noticed that the new Flash Point expansion is kickstarting now.  I bought the game and the first expansion.  If anyone is interested in backing the new one and wants to get caught up, I have my complete set up for sale as well.

Alright, I'll bite: how much for Flash Point (with a crude shipping estimate is fine)? I'm already pledging to KS but I don't want to spend $100 to get everything prior to this expansion.

Thanks for saving me the trouble of figuring out how much all that Munchkin stuff was worth.

Could you guys do me a huge favor and thumb up my auction on the Geek?  I'd appreciate it.  I don't think it's getting many views lately.

UPDATE: I didn't have very much interest in my Carcassonne collection at a good price, so it simply didn't sell for a long time.  I'm glad too because after having it hang around a bit and getting a chance to play, I decided to keep it.  Especially now that we have good news from HiG, it makes it that much easier.  My Carcassonne sails are filling again!  Now I just need to find someone to play with...

That's great news about keeping your Carcassonne collection CKorfmann!

And I know what you mean about finding someone to play with!  I only occasionally get to play some games with a friend.  It is ... frustrating.

CKorfmann,
I am happy that you still have your great Carcassonne collection.
Your children will grown up and then you can teach them our beloved game.

I only have my sons to play with, but they are getting to the age now when they enjoy it.
My youngest son only play The Kids of Carcassonne yet, but in a few years I guess he will be at it as well.

:meeple: It seems that sometimes the toughest part of a game can be to get other people to play. In World of Warcraft of late there seems to be a boss you need 120 players(!) to be able to kill it. Haven't confirmed it, though, as I quit playing a while back.

Been having a drought here as well. This weekend was planned for a Mega Carcassonne game but it ended up going shopping at the mall yesterday and today it was a movie.

What I do sometimes is to play alone when I get an itch. I already know how my cousin and my sister play and try to mimic their playstyle. Trust me, I've lost quite a few times playing alone! You can also make up other personalities, sort of your very own A.I. It sounds more sad than actually is but I find it fun!
