WTB Purple & Grey Abbots
« on: February 14, 2016, 02:00:07 AM »
This may sound like an odd request but does anyone know where I can get hold of Abbots in purple and grey?

I've already managed to purchase an orange Abbot (which came with a full meeple set from Cundco) and the standard 5 (without needing to buy Carc 2!) but can't find these two anywhere.

Any suggestions?

Grey is almost impossible to find scince it isnt the sixt player colour anymore in Carc 2. I myself bought a second yellow wich i'm going to paint grey.

The purple one is slightly easier to find since you can get them by bying a complete set of purple. Altough i think you already have the rest of purple, right? Then you can try to buy them with the spare parts option from cundco.
This is the game, those are the rules and that is how it should be played!

I'm also in the market for a grey abbott. It's the only piece missing from my collection following michmedia's excellent homemade Phantoms. I have vague recollections of someone here making a few a year or so ago, but nor really looked into it.

Those of you that have made your own - any tips? Any types of paints better on wood than others? Any specific shades match the other pieces more accurately than others?

Quevy made some a while back, out of plastic I think, but you can't easily tell the difference. Not sure where the link is, but he might still have some available or be able to create some. His time is precious though, and he's a very busy man!

Actually he didn't make them out of plastic, but out of wood. And they look like the original ones, just without colour. :D

The one I have is made out of grey plastic...

No, I have not colored, I have made of gray plastic to work, the followers are darker gray but I think the difference is acceptable.
No changes to the rules, is the abbot of the sixth player (gray).

Didn't know that. Thanks for the clarification. The one I got was made of wood and painted gray. :D But now, that you said it, I remember that first Quevy made some plastic ones.  :gray-meeple:
