These two expansions have been made available by the French Publisher:

Inns and Cathedrals 2.0:
http://www.filosofiagames.com/store/p101/CARCASSONNE_%3A_AUBERGES_%26_CATH%C3%89DRALES.html

Builders and Traders 2.0:
http://www.filosofiagames.com/store/p102/CARCASSONNE_%3A_MARCHANDS_%26_B%C3%82TISSEURS.html

You can see two of the InC Tiles, it's interesting the Inns dont have watermarks.

Maybe they are trying to make the same mistakes with 2.0 that they did with 1.0 :)

Meanwhile, the Cathedral tiles look pretty bad in my opinion. I'm happy to not be getting anything 2.0.

If the trade tokens are now tiles, same size as the tiles we play, I'm all for it. Easier to pack and stack. Of course, they could do a little more colour or a new shape instead of a blank background.  :yellow-meeple:

Thanks for the links Decar! Merit for you... :(y)

I agree. I'm not keen on these tiles at all. They look very plain/ boring compared to the original cathedrals.

I can see the logic in this, and I'm sure there's a good business case for it too (in terms of printing costs and keeping everything standard). But I don't much care for just printing the same icon in the middle of a standard tile and having a plain background. These just look like somebody forgot to cut them out. :(n)

To me they do not mind, especially since the tiles are different, presenting a different perspective for each cathedral. I've never been a huge fan of identical tiles.
I have always found as a defect of having many tiles perfectly identical in the old edition, a goat or a bush in order to diversify more, I would have appreciated.

The abbot pink!!!  :pink-meeple:

His heart knows only virtue.
His blade defends the helpless.
His might upholds the weak.
His word speaks only truth.
His wrath undoes the wicked.
