Good evening all,

Tonight JackFace and I were able to continue the game we started a week ago (thanks for hosting it Dan). Play resumed with 32 tiles left (which unfortunately was a little more than we actually got down to, but this was the most recent save we had). I'm pretty sure neither of us had a good idea how we were performing with the unique scoring system for the league, which made it pretty difficult to know where it was most economical to use our remaining meeples. Despite a minor technical hitch due to a lost connection, we managed to finish the game. I'm pretty sure things were rather finely poised and points in each of the 4 categories could have gone either way in addition to overall points. Crucially, I had a couple of tower bases remaining whilst JackFace didn't have any, so I could be confident in my meeple placement that they couldn't be captured. The battle for the main farm continued and eventually we ended up sharing the spoils (worth 39 points each). Several of my meeples were skilfully trapped, whilst I ruined a potentially valuable city with a cathedral as it remained unfinished. JackFace drew most of the cloisters and took full advantage towards the end, creating an unassailable lead in this category, so I used the last one to try and reclaim the majority in the main farm but it didn't work out as JackFace drew the CCFF I needed with just 2 tiles remaining. On placement of the final tile, we were just 1 point apart, before final scoring. Overall, a very enjoyable game of two (unequal) halves - thanks very much for playing.

Final result (à la TheSteve):
 :red-meeple: RichTheFish 4
 :green-meeple: JackFace 1

Leven and i played our game tonight and it was fairly epic - we had a battle for a massive city which we ended up sharing but i took all the trade goods, we had trapped meeples on cloisters, we had tunnels doing all sorts of weird things and we had a massive farm battle!  All the way through it was fairly even and we seemed to be getting an equal amount of "good" tiles.  Leven made some very clever placements to try to equalise the farm which would have meant he would have scored the farm point but unfortunately i got the tiles he needed which meant i won the farm outright giving me a 4-1 score overall.  Thanks Leven!

No game has been played in the premiership in April. :( 12 out of 21 games are still ahead which seems an almost impossible mission as we have less than 3 weeks left from the competition. Still, I'd like to play my remaining games. MrNumbers, Rich_The_Fish, Thodekey: are you available for a game this week?

So, after an intermission of more than a month here is a new result from the premiership:

:violet-meeple: Leven vs :blue-meeple: Thodekey 3:2

(Probably it was the first CC-league game with the new (4.4.1) version of JCloisterZone where end game stats include the number of placed tiles and the consumed time of the players as well. I "won" these categories, too. ::) )
