General / Spring and Summer 2017 Predictions and Wishes from Cundco
« on: May 28, 2017, 10:52:28 PM »
Cundco said while there wasn't an Easter special, there would be smaller specials in this Spring and Summer. The first day of Summer is in lest than a month so perhaps we will be getting something in the next couple weeks. What are your predictions and/or hopes (regardless of likelihood) for what these upcoming specials could be?

- The 4 Russian Promo Tiles being made available.

- The Besiegers being made available again - I know it's unlikely, but it's one of just a few things I still need to complete my old artwork collection to my liking.

- An official release of the Fortune Tellers expansion on tiles in both artwork styles. This is one of the coolest mini-expansions in my opinion and you can't even purchase it!

- An Abbott expansion with abbott meeples and garden tiles (the next best thing would be garden stickers to put on our own tiles).

The Marketplace / Catapult, Bridges, Hills, and Robbers in US FLGS
« on: April 12, 2017, 08:14:53 PM »
Just wanted to let people know that even though they aren't listed on my FLGS's website as in stock, I was there in person tonight and saw a copy of The Catapult, Bridges, Castles, and Bazaars, Hills and Sheep and Mini #6:The Robbers all in the classic art style. Prices were reasonable, for example the Catapult was about $18. Here is their  phone number 1-773-728-3656 and their website to e-mail them http://chicagolandgames.crystalcommerce.com/contact_us

General / Old Art Stick-ons for New Tiles
« on: January 29, 2017, 12:26:42 PM »
I was thinking since Expansion 10 is going to be new art only, what if the publishers created high-quality stickers of the old art that could be placed over the new art? They could sell the stickers through Cundco. I realize they would have the costs of printing and paying the old artwork artist, but could this still be viable for them to do money-wise? Do you think they would even consider this to appease loyal fans?

General / Full sets vs. spare tiles at cundco.de
« on: January 09, 2017, 01:36:40 PM »
Looking at the available spare tiles page on Cundco's website, I noticed that The River II, the Count, Princess and the Dragon, the Tower, the Festival, and all 6 Mini Expansions have all tiles available for replacement purposes. If they have full sets of these tiles, why aren't they selling them as such, as many of us on here would readily buy them? Perhaps Cundco doesn't have the wouldn't components to some of these expansions? Even then, the River II, the Festival, and the 6 corn circle tiles from the minis don't require extra pieces. Thoughts?

General / Catapult Rarity
« on: January 07, 2017, 01:22:39 PM »
As I try to complete my Carcassonne Old Art collection, aside from event promo tiles, I still need Wheel of Fortune, Besiegers, and the Catapult. While many or most of the old art expansions are difficult to find, it seems the Catapult is especially hard to track down at reasonable price. Since it seems to have been the least popular of the "large" expansions, why do people think this?

General / Will We Ever Get an Official Announcement?
« on: December 21, 2016, 12:33:41 AM »
Do you think we will ever get an official announcement or word that there are no mini expansions left to be released in the classic artwork? Everything points to German Cathedrals being the last, but until it's said for sure by someone official, I feel there is the ever so tiniest bit of hope there could still be something more. Perhaps some fan expansions such as Fortune Tellers being officially printed since the artwork is already done?

The Marketplace / Expansions 5, 6, 7 on eBay Germany
« on: December 19, 2016, 01:01:34 PM »
A seller has a bundle of old art german language expansions, all new - Abbey and Mayor, Count, King and Consort, and Catapult with 1 bid of 5 euro on it right now with the auction ending in about a day and a half. It only ships in Germany though. I thought there might be some Germany friends here who could possibly help out those needing these expansions? I might be interested in the Catapult depending on the end price.

The Marketplace / WTB: Beseigers, Tunnels, Catapult, and Wheel of Fortune
« on: December 10, 2016, 02:13:27 PM »
Aside from some promo tiles, all I need to complete my Carcassonne collection to my satisfaction is The Besiegers, Tunnels, Catapult, and Wheel of Fortune. Is anyone interested in selling any of them to me via PayPal for a reasonable price, i.e. less than crazily inflated eBay prices?

General / Mini Expansion Availability
« on: December 07, 2016, 02:30:06 PM »
While I still want Wheel of Fortune and the Catapult, the only mini expansions that are still "must-haves" for me are "The Tunnels" and "The Besiegers." I'm just curious to hear what some of you think is the reason why some mini expansions can be found more easily on eBay and other sites. Why is "The Besiegers" harder to find than certain older expansions such as "Little Buildings" or "The Plague." Thoughts??

General / BGG Homemade Tile Seller
« on: December 01, 2016, 09:41:56 PM »
Pepan6680 is selling homemade versions of Fortune Tellers (13 euro), La Porxada (4 euro) and We Go to Carcassonne/Russian Promo (7 euro) in the Board Game Geek Marketplace right now giving free shipping to EU, Canada, and USA if you buy 3 or more Carcassonne Expansions until Dec. 8. Does anyone have experience with the quality of this seller's tiles? Also, is selling and buying these homemade tiles through BGG legal?

General / Watchtowers in the Classic Artwork
« on: November 09, 2016, 12:06:05 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have been viewing these forums for some time now, but this is my first official post! Feel free to let me know if I need to post differently or under a different topic for this. I love Carcassonne and have around 30 of the expansions and mini-expansions and they are all in the classic artwork. I am really debating on whether or not to purchase the Watchtowers mini-expansion in the new art style. Is anyone working towards creating files that adapt the Watchtower tiles to the classic art style? I feel this might help me to make a decision. Many thanks to you all for your creation of and contribution to such an exciting and creative community!
