Title: Counting of the Barn
Post by: SRBO on April 04, 2014, 03:52:14 AM
Hello Guys,

I have a question.

When you place a barn on a field with followers, the players with the most followers on the field gets 3 points per city (unless u have pigs) but what if my own followers are in that field? do i also get 3 points per city?

because then u could get 2 times the amount of points for that field.

Grtz

Steven

(p.s. sorry for english)

A quote from the CAR rules .pdf below, which is basically the official rules (with pig 4 points, also mentioned in the file:

Any farmers already on the farm are scored immediately, in the same way as at the end of the game. That is, the player or players with the majority of farmers score the usual 3 points for every completed city. It makes no difference whether the owner of the barn is involved in scoring or not.

If you place the barn and have no farmers you get no point. If you have less farmers than any other player in that field, you get no point.

Correct. You could potentially score the farm twice...once as majority holder for 3 points per city when the barn is placed, and once for 4 points per city at the end of the game.

Don't forget that after the Barn is placed each time a farmer is connected into that farm with barn the farm scores for 1 point per city. That could happen many multiple times.
