That was a complete oversight on my part -- you will be properly thanked in the next CAR. I promise.
No problem, just wondering. With so much on your head, working at the CAR, I can understand this.

News and Events / Carcassonne Shoppe - Shipping conditions
« on: November 01, 2013, 01:03:48 AM »
I have them both at www.CarcassonneShoppe.com..... Die Windrosen is the same offered at Carcassonne on Tour
The only problem I have with CarcassonneShoppe is the missing shipping info. You don't have, like other online shops, a table with approximate shipping values. I bought from you, and I can say that the fees are very low, but could be a business boost if these low values can be seen at a glance by the future buyer.
Just my two cents.

 :blue-meeple:
Windroses HiG / CundCo-Shop is the same as the Windroses at Carcassonne-on-Tour (N,O,S,W) - all in German.
Thank you! All is clear now. ^-^

If you need another format, resolution or dimension please let me know.

The latest version of the artwork should work perfectly.
I don't want to sound like I complain, but obervet thanked to Caryntjen and Whaleyland for the new cover, but I'm nowhere to be found in the CAR pdf
Darn, since I wanted to show off to some of my friends and made a fool of myself. :-X

Hello. I'm totally confused. After reading in this forums I can understand that are four versions of Wind Rose.
one distributed with Spielbox german NSOW
another distributed with Spielbox english NS
another distributed on Carcassonne on Tour, has different rules and is in what language? is this the HiG version spoken about in previous posts? :o

to clarify, I don't want an O on the tile, I prefer an E instead or nothing. what to buy and from where? I live in Europe.

The entire 10thAnn set is made that way - with the coarse linen grid.
Seems that it's not a new age technology creating these, Cathars has the same "problem" and it's old but the minis are seamless and blend perfect with the rest of the tiles. Odd

;D Glad to hear that. I don't know why they made those two in this way but seems that are genuine. Thank you for the quick feedback.

General / some expansions have tiles with different texture
« on: February 20, 2013, 03:43:23 PM »
After reading here are and there on this forum I saw that some expansions are sold as original and the seller insists that they are. My concern arouse after playing Mega Carcassonne and being able to compare tiles. I could identify two expansions that have slightly different textured tiles compared to all of the rest. Those are: Die Katharer (Spielbox Carcassonne Almanac) and The Festival (Anniversary Edition). The texture is grid like, almost shiny and you can hear the grid when you quickly swipe the surface with finger nail.
If you have those, please confirm that it is normal and I don't own some forged ones. I must say that if these are not genuine, they are very good quality forgery and since I have an eye for details, I couldn't see how someone could have made these.

It does seem to me that if we include Wheel of Fortune we have to include the Anniversary addition for consistency. They are both "base game" releases with an Expansion included. I cannot draw a distinction between the two.
There are two major distinction between them and that are the watermark and the tiles. The watermark it's on all the Wheel Of Fortune tiles, depicting another game mechanic and being able to separate them from the other base tiles or expansions. If you look at the tiles from Anniversary Edition you will see no watermark, hence they are perfectly similar with the original base game, except the 10 tiles from the Festival expansion that came with that. Basically, it's a base game repacked with an expansion. Not the same can be said about the Wheel of Fortune, there are slightly different tiles in there compared with the base game (it's like Corn Circles I compared with Corn Circles II, almost the same, but slightly different).

General / Re: Fictitious Box Images

I was trying to be consistent with them, so I guess I succeeded. I saved the master image with all the layers separated, so making changes is easily done. The hardest part is finding character images.
Looking good. Just to clarify something here, I hope that you realize that you're reproducing covers that don't exist in reality. Those products do not exist and thus the collector can't search and buy them. No game releaser have this. I think that we are loosing meaning here. I ask, are we showing a complete (released to date) Carcassonne collection or are we showing a collection with custom elements? Don't get me wrong, I don't want to be a troll, I'm just wondering...

Thank you for the new cover, danielbrie. That's one less thing that I have to do for the new CAR.
I'm glad that you find it useful. This is my last intervention on this topic, I've tweaked the image (colours and optimising) a little. Here it is:

Count, King and Cult are all included already.

The 10 year box was the original game with an expansion that is (so far) not available anywhere else. That is the worst kind of packaging a company can do. If that is to be included then all other versions should be as well: Original, original with River, original with Corn circles, Limited edition etc.

I like the background - everything is there as far as I can tell.
Finally, a member that is coherent with my vision. If it's a way to have all Carcassonne, I think what's shown in the image you should have. Nothing more, nothing less.  But if you choose another combo or package, that is your option, but in the image is all that you can get.

Shouldn't we include the 10th Anniversary meeple shaped box? Wasn't that the actual release packaging for the 10th Anniversary tile expansion? Or am I off on that one?

What about the Meeple stickers - are we discounting them? They did come through Speilbox but I suppose they are not an actual expansion.
About the 10th Anniversary edition, I bought it separately  as stated on BGG: "This expansion was originally packaged with Carcassonne: 10 Year Special Edition, but was also sold separately by some retailers." Only thing new in there was the Festival expansion. We already have the base game in there.
You are right, Meeple stickers are not considered an actual expansion.
